The size effect theory was proposed by Frossard and co-workers for evaluating the shear strength of rockfill material. However, this has not been validated in a general stress path, which intermediate principal may be different from minor stress. A series true triaxial compression tests on material (RFM-A, small-sized particle) B (RFM-B, larger-sized were carried out to validate state. It found that predictions theory, based constants data RFM-A, good agreement with RFM-B.

ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the maternal hemodynamic profile at 12 + 0 to 15 6 weeks' gestation in women who subsequently developed pre‐eclampsia (PE) and those did not, assess screening performance of parameters for PE combination with Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) triple test, including factors (MF), mean arterial pressure (MAP), uterine artery pulsatility index placental growth factor. Methods This was a prospective case–control study involving Chinese singleton pregnancy underwent...

<title>Abstract</title> Background Gastrointestinal obstruction in newborns is a life-threatening condition caused by anatomical abnormalities that lead to failure defecate. This the most common surgical emergency for newborns. Prompt diagnosis, intervention, and implementation of appropriate management methods are important improve outcomes neonates with intestinal obstruction. study aimed explore clinical characteristics causes gastrointestinal tertiary neonatal intensive care...

Soil bulk density ( .b) is a physical property related to many phenomena, such as plant root development andsolute transport in soils. In this study, comprehensive data search of literature from 1980 1997 was made examine.b influenced by soil organic matter (OM), texture, primary tillage and secondary practices tillagedepth. The showed that .b principally clay content OM for no-till soils, while any soiltextural variable can be predictors tilled conditions, depending on types soilstrata....

Reactions of H atoms with N2O have two product channels yielding NH+NO and OH+N2. Both were observed via NH A 3Π←X 3∑ OH 2∑←X 2Π laser-induced fluorescence spectra. Photoinitiated reactions N2O–HI complexes yield a much lower [NH]/[OH] ratio than under the corresponding bulk conditions at same photolysis wavelength. For hot D-atom N2O, this effect is somewhat more pronounced. These results can be interpreted in terms entrance channel geometric specificity, namely, biasing hydrogen attack...

Quantum materials exhibit intriguing properties with important scientific values and huge technological potential. Electrical transport measurements under hydrostatic pressure have been influential in unraveling the underlying physics of many quantum bulk form. However, such not applied widely to samples form thin flakes, which new phenomena can emerge, due difficulty attaching fine wires a sample suitable for high-pressure devices. Here, we utilize home-built direct laser writing system...
