The development and improvement of heat exchangers systems cooling thermal stabilisation electronic equipment requires the use new highly efficient transfer elements capable transferring significant fluxes with small overall dimensions. Two-phase thermosyphons (TS) are widely used as such elements. As a rule, TS casings made round, solid pipes, but alternative profiles, flat-oval, also to improve dimensions characteristics. Due their simple manufacturing technology, convenient shape high...

Heat pipes are highly effective heat transfer devices for electronic components cooling systems. In the present paper, calculation results of a maximum flux shown temperature value 60 °C. Calculation was made pipes, which used LED cooling, with axially grooved and metal fibred capillary structures. Main limitation is boiling limit ammonia coolant entrainment R141b. As structure, main water, ethanol Wherein, increasing porosity higher than 60% leads to replacing by all researched coolants.

Heat transfer and aerodynamic drag of novel small-sized heat sinks with lamellar fins, designed for electronic cooling, were experimentally investigated under conditions forced convection in the range Reynolds numbers 1 250–10 500. It was found that a gradual reduction fin spacing from 6 mm to 3 29° angle taper between outermost fins leads an increase intensity by 15–32% significant compared surface constant mm. Incomplete cross-section cutting at relative depth 0.6 addition provides...

It has been three decades since pulsating heat pipes were first introduced and garnered more attention due to their uncom-plicated structural design superior transfer capabilities. The pipe of the original is strongly affected by space orientation, which connected with influence gravity. Even though turns will hold operational in any needed handle pipes, limiting its potential power electronics industry. This paper aims present a comprehensive review pipe's progress based on most recent...

Pulsating heat pipes (PHP) are novel transfer devices which have wide prospects of application in energy, refrigeration, cryogenic systems and electronics cooling because simple design high efficiency transfer. However, characteristics PHP depend on many parameters. This paper is dedicated to experimental investigation the impact heating zone length angle inclination start-up operational PHP. The involved a systematic variation with measuring key performance indicators, including flux...

Aluminium and copper heat pipes with grooved metal fibrous capillary structure are high effective transfer devices. They used in different cooling systems of electronic equipment like a LED modules, microprocessors, receive-transmit modules so on. However, thus have limitations. There few types these limitations: hydraulic limitation, boiling liquid entrainment by vapor flow sonic limitation. is necessity to know which one limitations determinant for pipe due design process. At present...

Background. Heat exchangers-utilizers for recovery of ventilation air heat are widely used increasing buildings energy efficiency. Two-phase elements, such as: thermosyphons, pipes and pulsating applied to these exchangers efficiency transfer between hot cold air. But should have high temperature efficiency, enthalpy at low aerodynamic drag. Moreover, working conditions systems, relatively temperatures difference air, make it difficult choose carriers two-phase elements. Thus, is necessary...
