Ghrelin is primarily secreted from the stomach and has been implicated in coordination of eating behavior weight regulation. The effects Helicobacter pylori infection on plasma ghrelin concentration gastric production still have not well known. We determined a total 160 consecutive individuals with normal body mass index including 110 H. pylori-infected 50 pylori-negative subjects. expression levels mRNA ghrelin-producing cells mucosa were quantified real-time quantitative RT-PCR...

Summary Objective In recent years great advances have been made in our understanding of the peripheral signals produced within gastrointestinal tract that regulate appetite, such as ghrelin and peptide YY (PYY). While elicites hunger signals, PYY satiety. Therefore, alterations hormone physiology may play a role pathogenesis bulimia nervosa (BN). this study, we investigated postprandial profile levels patients with BN. Design Postprandial plasma insulin glucose responses were measured 10 BN...

There are contradictory reports on the relationship between Helicobacter pylori and circulating ghrelin. We sought to clarify influence of H. infection gastric plasma ghrelin dynamics in humans.Using endoscopic biopsies from corpus 56 pylori-infected patients 25 uninfected subjects, mRNA expression levels peptide contents were measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction radioimmunoassay, respectively. also concentrations analyzed numbers immunoreactive cells fundic gland area. Abstract Heavy meromyosin (HMM) of myosin II and cofilin each binds to actin filaments cooperatively forms clusters along the filaments, but it is unknown whether two cooperative bindings are correlated what physiological roles they have. Fluorescence microscopy demonstrated that HMM-GFP cofilin-mCherry bound different parts when were added simultaneously in 0.2 μM ATP, indicating mutually exclusive. In 0.1 mM motor domain (S1) strongly inhibited formation filaments. Under this condition,...

Endothelial dysfunction is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease in patients with diabetes. We hypothesized that imeglimin, novel oral hypoglycemic agent, would improve endothelial function. In this study, imeglimin was administered to type 2 diabetes and HbA1c ≥ 6.5% who were not receiving insulin therapy. A meal tolerance test (592 kcal, glucose 75.0 g, fat 28.5 g) performed before 3 months after administration, function, blood glucose, insulin, glucagon, triglycerides evaluated....

Ghrelin, an acylated peptide produced predominantly in the stomach, stimulates feeding and growth hormone (GH) secretion via interaction with GH secretagogue receptor. Ghrelin molecules are present two major endogenous forms, form (ghrelin) a des-acylated (des-acyl ghrelin). Recent studies indicated that aerobic exercise did not change plasma total ghrelin levels, however, dynamics of circulating des-acyl during remains unclear. The purpose this study is to examine effects moderate intensity...
