Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is widely used as a tumor marker of prostatic adenocarcinoma. We recently found that 30% breast tumors produce PSA and favorable prognostic in female cancer. measured immunoreactive cytosolic extracts normal tissue from eight women receiving no medication one woman who was the progestin-containing oral contraceptive Brevicon. None contained appreciable amounts PSA. However, left right tissues Brevicon high levels This species shown to have molecular weight...

The CTLA-4 molecule plays an important role in immune regulation by downregulating activation of T cells. Polymorphisms the gene have been shown to be associated a number autoimmune diseases including blood disorders. In this study, intragenic polymorphisms at position -318*C/T, +49*A/G, and dinucleotide (AT)(n) repeat polymorphism exon 3 were analyzed patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Genotype haplotype analysis showed that 1+49*AA genotype was over-represented among NHL (P = 0.002),...

Downregulation of PTPRG increases colony formation in PTPRG-positive megakaryocytic lines MEG-01 LAMA-84 but has no effect PTPRG-negative K562 KYO-1. Its overexpression an oncosuppressive all these associated with differentiation inhibition BCR/ABL-dependent signaling. The...

Abstract In chronic lymphocytic leukemia, the reliability of next‐generation sequencing (NGS) to detect TP53 variants ≤10% allelic frequency (low‐VAF) is debated. We tested ability 23 such in 41 different laboratories using their NGS method choice. The sensitivity was 85.6%, 94.5%, and 94.8% at 1%, 2%, 3% VAF cut‐off, respectively. While only one false positive (FP) result reported >2% VAF, it more challenging distinguish true <2% from background noise (37 FPs by 9 laboratories)....

Protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor gamma (PTPRG) is a ubiquitously expressed member of the protein family known to act as tumor suppressor gene in many different neoplasms with mechanisms inactivation including mutations and methylation CpG islands promoter region. Although critical role human hematopoiesis an oncosuppressor chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) have been reported, only one polyclonal antibody (named chPTPRG) has described capable recognizing native antigen this by flow...

Here, we genotyped large panel individuals from previously overlooked populations using custom array with unique H2-specific single nucleotide polymorphisms found patchy...
