近年スマートフォン(スマホ)を介した行動嗜癖が問題視されており,先行研究では問題的スマホ利用はうつ,不安,睡眠問題などと関連があることが報告されている(Elhai et al., 2017; Sohn al, 2019)。一方で,スマホは多くの人にとって生活必需品であり,長時間使うほど依存度が高いという捉え方は正しいと言えない。また問題的スマホ利用は依存症として分類されるべきなのか研究者で議論が分かれている。スマホの利用コンテンツは様々で日々変化することから,スマホ依存をどのように捉えるかは課題として考えられる。本シンポジウムでは教育,医療,産業,それぞれの領域においてのスマホ依存の現状分析や取組みについて報告し,「適切なスマホ利用」および「問題的スマホ利用」とはどのようなものか,またICTによる解決法等を議論する。
