集計し得た十二指腸結核症 (本邦報告例) 51例の検討をおこなった.近年, 外科的治療を要する腸結核自体が減少しているが, その中でも, 十二指腸結核の占める割合は少ない.胆石を合併した自験例を示すとともに, 十二指腸結核の罹患部位別頻度, 年齢別頻度, 性別, 症状, 感染経路, 診断, 合併症, 治療について述べた.男女比は, 3: 5で女性に多く, 30~40歳代がピークであり, 肺結核でみられるような, 高齢者に多い傾向はみられない.部位別としては, 十二指腸上行部が44%で最も多く, 肛門側へ下降する程多くなっている.感染経路として, 二次性腸結核が, 一般的とされるが, 51例中, 原発性と考えうる症例が約50%も占めていた.活動期, 治癒期をとわず, 高度の狭窄をきたした時は, 化学療法は限界であり, 外科的処置が必要となる.
