An adaptive algorithm for radar target detection using an antenna array is proposed. The detector derived in a manner similar to that of the generalized likelihood-ratio test (GLRT) but contains simplified statistic limiting case GLRT detector. This analyzed performance signals on boresight, as well when signal direction misaligned with look direction.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
A general problem of signal detection in a background unknown Gaussian noise is addressed, using the techniques statistical hypothesis testing. Signal presence sought one data vector, and another independent set signal-free vectors available which share covariance matrix former vector. likelihood ratio decision rule derived its performance evaluated both noise-only signal-plus-noise cases.
A theoretical study of the use arrays for analysis seismic noise fields has been completed. The frequency‐wavenumber power spectral density [Formula: see text] is defined and techniques estimating it are given. estimates require that auto‐ crosspower densities be estimated all elements in array. Subject to certain asymptotic properties these estimates, expressions both mean variance have obtained. It demonstrated if by Frequency Domain Beamforming Method, then estimate same stability as...
Two modifications of the conventional radar theory matched filters and ambiguity functions are discussed. The first modification is to make valid for high-velocity targets wide-band signals, second include effects acceleration. ability a measure target acceleration has previously been discussed in terms measurement accuracy isolated targets. This paper concerned with form data processing necessary on clutter problem.

Abstract Despite the obvious motor manifestations of focal dystonia, it is recognised that sensory system plays an important role in this condition. This functional magnetic resonance imaging study examines representations individual digits both within subregions primary cortex (SI) and other nonprimary areas. Patients with dystonia controls were scanned during vibrotactile stimulation index (digit 2) little 5) fingers their dominant hand (which was affected all dystonic subjects). The...
The analysis of an adaptive detection algorithm described previously by the author (1985, 1986) is extended. Previously, performance was evaluated for case a signal corresponding exactly to steering vector used in derivation algorithm. Here signals arriving from other directions evaluated. It shown that these are rejected much more strongly than would be suggested sidelobe levels adapted patterns themselves.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...
This paper is a study of the ultimate attainable accuracy in radar measurement range, range rate, and acceleration. It assumed that these quantities are to be measured by coherent with large output signal-to-noise ratio. The approach entirely theoretical, evaluated would attained an ideal receiver which performs maximum-likelihood estimates unknown parameters. transmitted waveformn fixed arbitrary, error variances covariances detail termns amplitude frequency modulation wave. This paper discusses a number of alternative schemes for combining the outputs seismometers in an array so as to maximize improvement signal-to-noise ratio while imposing minimal distortion on waveform signal arrival. For gaussian noise, these requirements lead linear processors. A brief review is given class such processors that involves single delay or and amplitude weight each sensor output before summation. The more general processing involving filtering operation summation then...
Emotions play a very important role in the search for dispute resolution, but often are neither understood nor effectively addressed by parties to dispute, also not properly controlled and managed professionals that helping reach peaceful resolution. The effective negotiator or mediator must take into account only economic, political physical aspects of process, emotional tenor themselves as well all parties. This paper has three objectives: define emotions their solving legal disputes means...
OBJECTIVE In appropriate candidates, the treatment of medication-refractory mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE) is primarily surgical. Traditional anterior lobectomy yields seizure-free rates 60%-70% and possibly higher. The field magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) an evolving in neurosurgery. There potential to treat MTLE with MRgFUS; however, it has appeared that structures were beyond existing envelope currently available clinical systems. purpose this study was...
Juvenile periodontitis (JP) is a disease characterized by severe gingival infections. PMN from some JP patients exhibit abnormal chemotactic responsiveness when challenged with the synthetic formyl peptide, FMLP. While investigating function in JP, we found patient whom responses to FMLP were associated defective population of peptide receptor(s) (FPR). failed respond chemotactically FMLP, but exhibited normal upon exposure purified human C5a. Furthermore, capable degranulating and...

The literature concerning bilateral adrenalectomy as a palliative modality for metastatic male breast carcinoma following orchiectomy is reviewed. Including the present 2 subjects, total of 17 patients have been reported. Of these 2, one failed to respond but responded 6 months and, when disease was in relapse, he further chemotherapy using fluorouracil and methotrexate combined with ThioTEPA, respectively. other patient who showed only symptomatic improvement short period adrenalectomy....
