Abstract In this study, 236 nm AlGaN-based deep ultraviolet (DUV) micro-LEDs with different sized P-contact areas are designed and fabricated, the sidewalls restored by a wet chemical treatment method KOH solution. GaN-based photonic crystal surface-emitting lasers(PCSELs) with AlN/GaN distributed Bragg reflectors were fabricated and analyzed.
