Abstract Traditional structural health monitoring (SHM) systems provide accurate and objective information to assess the condition state of bridges; however, they are expensive typically installed only on strategic bridges. Innovative technologies offer a potential solution. Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) takes multiple satellite radar images given area over time extracts displacement series reflective point targets ground. The literature InSAR‐based SHM bridges lacks...
Commercial refrigeration systems consume a substantial amount of electrical energy, resulting in high indirect global warming impact due to greenhouse gases emissions. The multitude different system configurations, complexity, component wear, and changing operating conditions make efficient operation this kind difficult task. This paper presents an investigation machine learning for supervisory control supermarket system. In particular, reinforcement algorithm CO2 booster is designed by...
Introduction: Acute liver failure (ALF) is a rapidly progressing, life-threatening syndrome characterized by liver-related coagulopathy and hepatic encephalopathy (HE). Given that higher HE grades correlate with poorer outcomes, clinical management of ALF necessitates close neurological monitoring. The primary objective this case report to highlight the diagnostic value utilizing multimodal neuromonitoring (MNM) in patient suffering from ALF. Case report: A 56-year-old male history chronic...
Structural health monitoring (SHM) is widely used for assessing the condition of bridges at risk. Traditional SHM techniques rely on point-wise information provided by individual sensors placed strategic locations. However, a more comprehensive assessment bridge state can be achieved through data fusion, integrating from different sensors. This article presents Bayesian framework fusion method that combines various measurements to improve knowledge structural deformation state. The proposed...
This paper investigates the effectiveness of satellite Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) technology to remotely monitor structural health road bridges and detect possible unexpected behaviours. The study is based on an Italian multi-span prestressed concrete bridge a dataset eight years X-band SAR images collected by COSMO-SkyMed constellation. method implemented for this as follows. First, are analysed using Multi-Temporal InSAR technique extract displacement time series...
Abstract. Remotely sensed Earth elevation data or digital surface model (DSM) typically contains both terrain and above-ground information such as vegetation man-made constructions. However, many applications require pure bare-terrain data, also known (DTM). But how do we separate 3D objects on the DSM from ground? The most commonly used approaches are still based various filtering techniques, which in turn involve pre-definition of thresholds specific parameters depending inhomogeneity...
The aim of this study was to assess whether hypothermia increased survival and improved functional outcome when compared with normothermia in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) patients similar characteristics than previous randomized studies showing benefits for hypothermia.
While most state-of-the-art instance segmentation methods produce binary masks, geographic and cartographic applications typically require precise vector polygons of extracted objects instead rasterized output. This paper introduces PolyWorld, a neural network that directly extracts building vertices from an image connects them correctly to create polygons. The model predicts the connection strength between each pair using graph estimates assignments by solving differentiable optimal...
The number of prestressed reinforced concrete bridges exceeding their expected lifespan is constantly increasing, leading to a growing interest by infrastructure managers and control authorities in monitoring maintaining them. Accurate knowledge about the general degradation necessary for effective planning prioritization maintenance intervention structural monitoring. prestressing system bridge particularly sensitive component; its condition state plays central role risk assessment...
Satellites equipped with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensors can capture millimetre-scale displacement of the Earth's surface and man-made structures regardless atmospheric conditions or lighting. Over past two decades, Interferometric SAR (InSAR) has found many applications, including monitoring subsidence, volcanoes, glaciers. While there have been some applications in civil engineering, a metrological validation satellite technology for remote structural health (SHM) compared to...
Extensive structural health monitoring (SHM) of civil infrastructure provides massive amounts data that must be promptly and effectively analyzed through appropriate models to infer the state structures. In general terms, a structure can expressed as its reliability with respect most significant limit states. When is estimated based on SHM data, problem typically solved numerically iterative approaches, which are computationally expensive do not allow early warning prompt response. This work...
In the fast developing countries it is hard to trace new buildings construction or old structures destruction and, as a result, keep up-to-date cadastre maps. Moreover, due complexity of urban regions inconsistency data used for maps extraction, errors in form misalignment common problem. this work, we propose an end-to-end deep learning approach which able solve inconsistencies between input intensity image and available building footprints by correcting label noises at same time,...
In this paper we present a method for building boundary refinement and regularization in satellite images using fully convolutional neural network trained with combination of adversarial regularized losses. Compared to pure Mask R-CNN model, the overall algorithm can achieve equivalent performance terms accuracy completeness. However, unlike that produces irregular footprints, our framework generates visually pleasing boundaries which are beneficial many applications.
Designing structural health monitoring (SHM) is logically equivalent to designing a civil structure. The capacity must be greater than the demand achieve required performance. Monitoring and are counterparts of in semi-probabilistic design. They defined as uncertainty key-parameters that represent structure behaviour will estimated through system: resulting from estimation, design target. As far concrete prestressed bridges concerned, important long-term temperature-compensated responses,...
