In this work, the degradation kinetics and mechanism of diclofenac (DCF) by UV/peracetic acid (PAA) was investigated. The effects pH, PAA dose common water components such as inorganic ions dissolved organic matter (DOM) on DCF UV/PAA were also evaluated. It observed that addition promoted photodegradation due to generation reactive radicals in photolysis PAA, which confirmed radical scavenging experiment. best efficiency obtained at pH 8.5. removal enhanced gradually with increasing dose....

Genome-wide association study (GWAS) has identified genetic variants in the promoter region of high temperature requirement factor A1 (HTRA1) gene associated with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). As a secreted serine protease, HTRA1 been reported to interact members transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) family and regulate their signaling pathways. Growth differentiation 6 (GDF6), member TGF-β family, is involved ectoderm patterning eye development. Mutations GDF6 have abnormal...

In this work, a multi-layer wound dressing consisting of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) foam and electrospun sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) surface mesh was developed characterized. Antimicrobial drug stearyl trimethyl ammoium chloride (STAC) loaded into the PVA for infection control CMC offers effective hemostatic function. Additionally, potential laser photodynamic response methylene blue (MB) its effect in enhancing dressing's bacterial inhibition has been investigated. The antibacterial...

Hydrogels demonstrate superior properties that favor wound healing and have been widely used in clinical settings for dressing applications. However, commercial hydrogel dressings often lack flexibility/adhesiveness, do not conform well to the irregular skin surfaces of complex wounds and/or near joints. As a result, is likely be exposed potential bacterial invasion. Herein, we designed developed mechanically flexible self-adhesive polyurethane-poly(acrylamide) (PU-PAAm) The can cured from...

Skin dose is one of the key issues for clinical dosimetry in radiation therapy. Currently planning computer systems are unable to accurately predict buildup region, leaving ambiguity as levels actually received by patient's skin during radiotherapy. This prime reasons why vivo measurements necessary estimate region. A newly developed metal‐oxide‐semiconductor‐field‐effect‐transistor (MOSFET) detector designed specifically rapidly changing gradients was introduced accurate dosimetry. The...
