RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) control messenger RNA fate in neurons. Here, we report a mechanism that the stimuli-induced neuronal translation is mediated by phosphorylation of YTHDF1-binding protein FMRP. Mechanistically, YTHDF1 can condense with ribosomal to promote its mRNA targets. FMRP regulates this process sequestering away from ribosome; upon stimulation, becomes phosphorylated and releases for upregulation. We show new small molecule inhibitor reverse fragile X syndrome (FXS)...

Abstract The pathophysiology of autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) is not fully understood and there are no diagnostic or predictive biomarkers. Glycosylation modified as many 70% all human proteins can sensitively reflect various pathological changes. However, little known about the alterations glycosylation glycoproteins in ASD. In this study, serum glycopattern maackia amurensis lectin-II binding (MBGs) 65 children with ASD age-matched typically developing (TD) were compared by using lectin...

Abstract Meiosis is a highly regulated process, partly due to the need break and then repair DNA as part of meiotic program. Post-translational modifications are widely used during events regulate steps such protein complex formation, checkpoint activation, attenuation. In this paper, we investigate how proteins that obligatory components SUMO (small ubiquitin-like modifier) pathway, one post-translational modification, affect Caenorhabditis elegans germline. We show UBC-9, E2 conjugation...

Melatonin is an indoleamine hormone secreted by the pineal gland. It has antioxidation and anti-apoptosis effects a clear protective effect against cardiovascular diseases. Our previous studies demonstrated that embryonic exposure to sodium arsenite (NaAsO2) can lead abnormal cardiac development. The aim of this study was determine whether melatonin could protect NaAsO2-induced generation reactive oxygen species (ROS), oxidative stress, apoptosis, development in zebrafish (Danio rerio)...

Loss of dopamine neurons causes motor deterioration in Parkinson's disease patients. We have previously reported that addition to acute impairment, the impaired behavior is encoded into long-term memory an experience-dependent and task-specific manner, a phenomenon we refer as aberrant inhibitory learning. Although normal learning oppose each other this manifested apparent performance, present study, found acquired prior remains preserved brain, suggesting existence independent storage. To...

Abstract Animals adapt to environmental challenges with long-term changes at the behavioral, circuit, cellular, and synaptic levels which often require new protein synthesis. The discovery of reversible N6-methyladenosine (m 6 A) modifications mRNA has revealed an important layer post-transcriptional regulation affects almost every phase metabolism therefore translational control. Many in vitro vivo studies have demonstrated significant role m A cell differentiation survival, but its adult...

The improper use of antibiotics has led to the development bacterial resistance, resulting in fewer for many infections. Especially, drug resistance hospital-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (HA-MRSA) is distinctly serious. This research designed and synthesized two series 3-substituted ocotillol derivatives order improve their anti-HA-MRSA potency synergistic antibacterial activity. Among compounds, 20-31 showed minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values 1-64 µg/mL...

Tooth enamel is a highly-mineralized hard tissue covering the outermost layer of dental crown, and amelogenesis inseparable from participation necessary components such as ameloblasts, organic matrix proteins, mineral ions, Ca2+ PO43-. However, mature an acellular it difficult to self-repair once damaged. The current treatment methods for damage are filling or repairing with alloys, ceramics, composite resins. mechanical properties these materials quite different natural they can’t ensure...
