A series of mononuclear lanthanide complexes with chiral Schiff base ligands [Ln(FTA)3L] [Ln = Dy(1), Sm(2), Eu(3), Gd(4), and Tb(5), L (S,S)-2,2′-Bis(4-benzyl-2-oxazoline)] were synthesized characterized. Among these complexes, complex 1 represents the first example displaying single-ion magnet behavior ferroelectricity.

A series of one-dimensional complexes [Ln(L(1))(3)(HOCH(2)CH(2)OH)](n) (L(1) = 2-furoate anion; Ln Nd (1), Sm (2), Gd (3), Tb (4), Dy (5), Er (6)) have been synthesized. The were crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c and show a chain-like structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Magnetic properties indicate that carboxyl mediates different magnetic couplings light heavy rare earth complexes, namely, antiferromagnetic interaction between ions ferromagnetic ones....

Stable, room-temperature ferromagnetism in carbon— more precisely, highly oriented pyrolytic graphite — with Curie temperature as high 460 K is reported. The magnetization can be easily tuned by controlling the low-energy carbon ion implantation dose used to create samples. Theory indicates that ferromagnetic order likely results from itinerant π-electrons defects (see figure).

Two new enantiomeric ionic chiral dysprosium(III) compounds were designed and synthesized. These show simultaneously the optical activity, ferroelectric effects, nonlinear-optical slow magnetic relaxation behavior. More interestingly, these exhibit reversible single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformations associated with release or absorption of solvent molecules. The structure are accompanied by distinct changes in physical properties.

Two CoII and MnII coordination polymers, which have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions, are isomorphous with magnetic Δ-chains containing trinuclear triangular [M3(μ3-OH)] clusters. The bridged by isonicotinic spacers to generate a two-dimensional scalariform layer structure. Magnetic investigations indicate that compound exhibits not only spin canting but also metamagnetic behaviors, while spin-canted antiferromagnetic behaviors was observed in compound.

Amination of 1‐amino‐4‐bromoanthraquinone‐2‐sulfonic acid (BAA), crucial for anthraquinone‐type dyes production, relies on Cu+ catalysis. However, disproportionation causes catalyst deactivation, requiring large amounts Cu catalysts (e.g., CuSO4 or CuCl) and reductants FeSO4), introducing heavy metals increasing water consumption to remove byproducts metals, raising both environmental economic costs. To address these challenges, we introduce a groundbreaking strategy the in‐situ generation...
