Direct modulation at 56 and 50 Gb/s of 1.3-μm InGaAlAs ridge-shaped-buried heterostructure (RS-BH) asymmetric corrugation-pitch-modulation (ACPM) distributed feedback lasers is experimentally demonstrated. The fabricated have a low threshold current (5.6 mA 85°C), high temperature characteristics (71 K), slope relaxation frequency (3.2 GHz/mA1/2 wide bandwidth (22.1 GHz 85°C). These superior properties enable the to run 55°C up 80°C for backto-back operation with clear eye openings. This...

A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was distributed to 9 designated centers, 17 community hospitals 73 district nurse services across 4 regions 2008. used the Palliative Care Knowledge Test, Difficulty Scale (five-point Likert scale) Self-Reported Practices scale). In total, 2378 out 3008 (79%) responded. The scores were 51 ± 20%,...

Our previous study indicated that coadministration of tramadol and minocycline exerted synergistic effects on spinal nerve ligation (SNL)-induced neuropathic mechanical allodynia. However, the underlying mechanisms are still unclear. Recent reports proinflammatory factor interleukin-1β (IL-1β) contributed to development pain positive feedback communication between neuron glia. Therefore, present research is confirm whether IL-1β-related pathway response contributes SNL-induced pain....

We have investigated optical nonlinearity in beryllium-doped low-temperature (LT) molecular-beam-epitaxy-grown GaAs/AlAs multiple quantum wells (MQWs). The response time of the is reduced by Be doping MQW. While undoped LT MQW shows a 0.7–0.9 ps response, Be-doped as short 0.25 ps. saturation density almost same that MQW, and smaller than bulk GaAs. These results demonstrate exhibits faster well larger
