Activated sludge was used to treat the wastewater containing spiramycin I. Three new metabolites were isolated and identified, which produced by oxidation of C6-aldehyde, hydrolysis C5-mycaminose-mycarose macrolactone ring-open reaction I in anaerobic digestion.
