Abstract An explicit–explicit staggered time‐integration algorithm and an implicit–explicit counterpart are presented for the solution of non‐linear transient fluid–structure interaction problems in Arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) setting. In case where usually desirable simultaneous updating fluid structural states is both natural trivial, staggering shown to improve numerical stability. Using rigorous ALE extensions two‐stage explicit Runge–Kutta three‐point backward difference methods...
As a highly heterogeneous tumor, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) exhibits non-uniform responses to therapies across subtypes. Overcoming therapeutic resistance stemming from this heterogeneity remains significant challenge. Here, we report that Vitamin D-resistant PDAC cells hijacked D signaling promote tumor progression, whereas epigenetic priming with glyceryl triacetate (GTA) and 5-Aza-2'-deoxycytidine (5-Aza) overcame shifted the transcriptomic phenotype of toward D-susceptible...
As biological analysis systems scale to smaller dimensions, the realization of small and portable biosensors becomes increasingly important. We present monolithic integration vertical cavity surface emitting lasers, PIN photodetectors optical emission filters be used as a fluorescence sensor. The will drastically reduce cost size detection systems. Also, parallel sensing architectures more than one hundred channels possible. heterostructure have been fabricated tested. Photodetector...
Background: Hypertension affects approximately 1 in 2 adults the US. Home blood pressure (BP) monitoring programs are effective diagnosis and management of hypertension. Free clinics serve as an integral safety net for millions uninsured economically disadvantaged patients The feasibility effects a free home BP follow-up program clinic setting is not well characterized. Methods: This was prospective study implementation pilot between March 2021 August 2023 at San Francisco Bay Area. A total...
The reaction $^{13}\mathrm{C}$(n,p${)}^{13}$B has been studied at ${\mathit{E}}_{\mathit{n}}$=65 MeV. Cross sections were measured for transitions to the ground state and excited states of $^{13}\mathrm{B}$ from 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} 40\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. cross section gives a value 179\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}20 MeV ${\mathrm{fm}}^{3}$ ${\mathit{V}}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\sigma}}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\tau}}}^{\mathit{c}}$, spin-isospin central part volume...
The importance of 3D effects in semiconductor processes and devices is growing as structures are scaled into the deep submicron regime. In order to perform analysis, however, designers need accurately specify structure be simulated. A virtual integrated process modeling tool, based on a set techniques which enable construction device structures, presented with emphasis new technique build LOCOS geometries. Examples illustrate how this used construct both test well an actual memory cell design.
Prompt and delayed \ensuremath{\gamma}-ray spectroscopy of reaction products selected in a recoil mass spectrometer was used to study both feeding decay patterns two successive isomeric decays $^{81}\mathrm{Sr}$ as proposed by Arnell co-workers. Their assignment confirmed. The measured lifetimes (${T}_{1/2}$) are 0.44\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.10 \ensuremath{\mu}s 6.4\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5 for the 79 keV (${(5/2}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$) 89 (${(7/2}^{+}$) levels, respectively....
Cross sections at six angles between 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} and 19\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} in the center-of-mass system have been measured for ground-state transition reaction $^{13}\mathrm{C}$(n,p${)}^{13}$B ${\mathit{E}}_{\mathit{n}}$=118 MeV. The cross section gives a value of 186\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}25 MeV ${\mathrm{fm}}^{3}$ volume integral spin-isospin component central part effective N-N interaction. theoretical is 161 100 A distorted-wave...
