Abstract This meta‐analysis integrated and analyzed previous Japanese findings on gender differences in help‐seeking intentions attitudes. We searched relevant studies using the Citation Information by National Institute of Informatics database identified 85 articles. also unreported statistical information provided primary authors these studies. 本研究では, 大学生の抑うつおよび自殺念慮の問題に関する学生相談機関への援助要請行動のプロセスに焦点をあて, その特徴を明らかにするとともに, 援助要請行動のプロセスにおける各段階の意思決定に関連する要因を検討した。大学生を対象に, 場面想定法を用いて抑うつおよび自殺念慮の問題を抱えた際の援助要請行動, 問題の深刻度の評価, 援助要請に対する態度, 自尊感情, 精神的健康度, ソーシャル・サポート, デモグラフィック変数について尋ねる質問紙調査を実施し, 758名からの有効回答を得た。ロジスティック回帰分析を実施した結果, 援助要請を検討する段階では性別(女性), 問題の深刻度の評価が関連を示した。学生相談機関への援助要請行動の段階では, 援助要請に対する態度が関連を示し, さらに自殺念慮の問題では, 性別(男性)が関連を示した。得られた結果より, 援助要請行動のプロセスの観点からの, 大学生の精神的健康を目指した学生相談機関による介入方法について考察された。
The present study investigated the effect of optimistic bias on help-seeking intentions and behaviors in relation to health care professionals nonprofessionals for depressive symptoms. 高等教育がユニバーサル化段階に入り,在籍する学生の多様化とともに,学生支援に対するニーズも多様化している。それとともに,教育の一環という理念に基づき,学生相談は高等教育機関において果たす役割や期待が高まっている。その一方で,学生相談活動において,悩みを抱えていながらも相談に来ない学生への対応が多くの大学における必要性の高い課題となっている。そこで,本稿では学生相談活動実践における必要性の高い課題である悩みを抱えていながら相談に来ない学生の対応について,援助要請研究の視座から検討した。まず先行研究を概観し,援助要請に関連する知見の不一致および実践活動に向けては,援助要請行動のプロセスおよび計画的行動理論を援用することの有用性を示した。次に,悩みを抱えていながら相談に来ない学生への対応に向けて,学校心理学の枠組みに基づく,学生支援モデルを提案した。最後に,援助要請研究の視座から見た,大学における学生相談・学生支援の研究および実践における課題と展望を示した。
