Viral evolution impacts diagnostic test performance through the emergence of variants with sequences affecting efficiency primer binding. Such that evade detection by nucleic acid-based tests are subject to selective pressure, enabling them spread more efficiently. Here, we report a variant-tolerant for SARS-CoV-2 using loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay containing high-fidelity DNA polymerase and polymerase-medicated probe (HFman probe). In addition demonstrating high...

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the most abundant catechin in green tea, has been reported to inhibit HIV-1 replication prior its integration into host DNA via various proposed mechanisms; however, specific main target(s) of EGCG remain unclear. In this study, we investigated a number these detailed mechanism(s) using cell-based model.Multinuclear activation galactosidase indicator assays were used for all experiments, including examination time addition and synergisms with nucleoside...

To facilitate the detection of infection, various RT-LAMP assays using 19 sets primers had been developed, but never compared. We performed comparative evaluation 4 RNA standards and 29 clinical samples from COVID-19 patients. Six 15 were firstly identified to have faster amplification when tested with four standards, further subjected parallel comparison remaining primer samples. Among these 10 sets,...

Abstract “Test‐and‐go” single‐nucleotide variation (SNV) detection within several minutes remains challenging, especially in low‐abundance samples, since existing methods face a trade‐off between sensitivity and testing speed. Sensitive usually relies on complex time‐consuming nucleic acid amplification or sequencing. Here, graphene field‐effect transistor (GFET) platform mediated by Argonaute protein that enables rapid, sensitive, specific SNV is developed. The provides nanoscale binding...

Abstract Poly-γ-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) and nattokinase (NK) are the main substances produced by Bacillus subtilis natto in solid-state fermentation have wide application prospects. We found that our strains had higher activity of when soybeans were used as substrate to increase yield γ-PGA. Commercial production γ-PGA requires an understanding mechanism co-production. Here, we obtained maximum (358.5 g/kg, w/w) highest NK during analyzed transcriptome co-production NK. By comparing changes...
