Carbapenems are one of the mainstays treatment for antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB). This has made rise carbapenem-resistant a threat to global health. In fact, World Health Organization (WHO) identified as critical pathogens, and development novel antibacterials capable combating infections caused by these is priority.
