We present an algorithm that generates natural and intuitive deformations via direct manipulation for a wide range of shape representations editing scenarios. Our method builds space deformation represented by collection affine transformations organized in graph structure. One transformation is associated with each node applies to the nearby space. Positional constraints are specified on points embedded object. As user manipulates constraints, nonlinear minimization problem solved find...

Although animation is one of the most compelling aspects computer graphics, possibilities for depicting movement that make dynamic scenes so exciting remain limited both still images and animations. In our work, we experiment with motion depiction as a first-class entity within rendering process. Determining one's own position by means of a smartphone is an important issue for various applications in the fields personal navigation or location-based services. Places like large airports, shopping malls extensive underground parking lots require but satellite signals and GPS connection cannot be obtained. Thus, alternative complementary systems are needed. In this paper system concept to integrate foot-mounted inertial measurement unit (IMU) with Android presented. We developed...

Localization in wireless sensor networks (WSN) based on the evaluation of received signal strength (RSS) values communication packets has a considerable amount research interest last years. In spite number approaches that have been presented, performance most systems remains rather poor due to unpredictable behavior RSS and resulting fluctuating position estimations. this paper, an approach cope with these fluctuations for purpose ad-hoc person localization WSN is presented. In this paper a new concept for an infrastructure independent approach to indoor person localization is outlined. It proposed deploy ad-hoc wireless sensor network (WSN) by means of pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) unit. The deployed nodes are initialized with PDR-determined position estimation. Furthermore, subset the has GPS connection and thus accurate estimation own position. Within infrastructure, persons that carry on-body can then be localized based on received signal strength (RSS)...

Localization of persons or equipment in ad-hoc scenarios, e.g., after an earthquake still poses many challenges. The popular received signal strength (RSS) based localization methods usually cannot provide the needed accuracy especially if sensor tools are to be localized a static environment with non line sight conditions. On other hand, time-of-flight (ToF) measurements have shown more accurate results but difficulties low power hardware narrow-band wireless systems used. Inadequate timing...

We present a method for rendering 3D paintings by compositing brush strokes embedded in space. The challenge is reconciling conflicts between their z-order and the order which were painted, while maintaining temporal spatial coherence. Our algorithm smoothly transitions closer over those farther away painted later earlier. It efficient, running O(n log n) time, simple to implement. demonstrate its effectiveness on variety of paintings.
