Neural stem cells (NSCs) are a small population of resident that can grow, migrate and differentiate into neuro-glial in the central nervous system (CNS). Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) is nuclear transcription factor regulates cell growth differentiation. In this study we analyzed influence PPARγ agonists on neural differentiation culture. We found vitro culture mouse NSCs neurobasal medium with B27 presence epidermal (EGF) basic fibroblast (bFGF) induced their...

Saffron, comprising of dried stigmas the plant known as Crocus sativus, is one most important and scantly cultivated agricultural products. It has been used a precious spice for last at least 3500 years. Due to its numerous medicinal qualities pharmacological applications, it considered “golden condiment”, demand consumptions risen over period time. Although efforts are continuously being made enhance productivity in traditional areas promote cultivation saffron newer areas, there several...

This study investigated the genetic diversity of 80 wild bael genotypes ( Aegle marmelos ) compared to commercial cultivars NB-5 and NB-9, focusing on 16 pomological traits. With rising temperature impacting perennial fruit crop production urgent need for heat- drought-resistant varieties, emerges as a viable option rainfed areas due its xerophytic characteristics ability withstand high temperatures. Among collected, genotype germplasm, JMU-Bael (Sel-27) demonstrated superior traits,...

Abstract This retrospective study audited all non-malignant biliary surgery carried out in a district general hospital between January 1985 and December 1990. Surgery was performed on 722 patients: 555 (77 per cent) were women 167 (23 men. The mean(s.d.) age of the patients 49(16) years. Elective admissions accounted for 70 cent cases 30 emergency admissions. Ultrasonography confirmed diagnosis 93 cases. An elective operation 542 180 underwent an urgent or operation. Simple cholecystectomy...

Administration of Embelin, an experimental antifertility agent, to male rats (20 mg/kg body wt/day, daily for 15 and 30 days), caused elevation in the uptake D-glucose, L-alanine, L-leucine, calcium small intestinal segments. An increase was also noted brush border membrane (BBM)-associated enzymes, sucrase, lactase, maltase, alkaline phosphatase, leucine aminopeptidase both homogenates partially purified BBM preparations, particularly after 30-day administration drug. Embelin treatment a...

Bacterial leaf pustule (BLP) caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines (Xag) is a serious disease of soybean. A resistant source ‘TS 3’ was identified and the inheritance studies indicated that duplicate recessive genes govern resistance. The genetic linkage analysis mapped resistance locus (rxp-2) on chromosome 2 flanked SSR markers Sat_183 BARCSOYSSR_02_1613 at distance 0.9cM 2.1cM respectively. Similarly, another (rxp-6) between BARCSOYSSR_06_0024 BARCSOYSSR_06_0013 1.5cM
