Abstract In our attempt to develop potential new drug candidates with promising dual antimicrobial and anticancer activities, a series of pyrazolothiazole thiazolopyridine analogues has been synthesized. All compounds were evaluated for their towards pathogenic strains cytotoxicity properties against hepatic cancer cell line HepG‐2 breast MCF‐7. 9 c showed excellent activity the tested strains, MIC values about 27.5 μM ( S. epidermidis ), 6.8 B. subtilis ) 3.4 pneumoniae K. fold higher than...

Abstract Wound healing treatment with a nanofibrous matrix is serious demand to avoid associated complications, including bacterial infections. Magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) were encapsulated into electrospun scaffolds of ε -polycaprolactone (PCL) containing graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets. The structural and morphological behaviors the obtained investigated. modification nanofibers via addition MNPs generated slight change morphology, whereas fibers’ diameters around 0.2–0.5, 0.1–0.3,...

Isatin-3-imine derivatives ( 1a - d ) have been synthesized. These compounds were then converted into phosphorylated products 2a , 2c with triethylphosphite and 3a triphenylphosphine. The structures of the new confirmed by elemental analyses, IR, UV/VIS, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR MS studies. structure compound was also single crystal X-ray diffraction Compounds 1b 3c exhibited potent antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis Escherichia Coli . Compound found to exhibit antifungal tested organisms.

Pechmann condensation of ethylacetoacetate with derivatives phenol by heating in absence solvent and montmorillonite clays K‐10 afforded coumarin (1a-e) good yields which on reaction thiosemicarbazide anhydrous pyridine yielded coumarin‐quinolinyl mercaptotriazole (2a-e) . The latter compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial anticancer activities. newly synthesized characterized IR, 1 HNMR mass spectra.

Abstract In an attempt to develop potent anticancer agents, we have synthesized some substituted pyridine derivatives. Alkylation of the pyridine‐3‐carbonitrile 1a by chloroacetonitrile or methyl iodide and ethyl produced O ‐alkylated nicotinonitrile derivatives ( 2 – 4 ), respectively. The reaction with acetic anhydride furnished N ‐acetyl derivative 5 . addition, concentrated sulfuric acid yielded compound 6 whereas its chloroacetone gave corresponding 2‐alkoxy‐pyridine 7 which then...
