Round ligament varicosities are rare, and the mass mimics an inguinal hernia. should be considered in differential diagnosis of a groin swelling female, especially during pregnancy. The round can established on grayscale color Doppler ultrasonography. We report two cases 33-year-old non pregnant woman 28-year-old woman, these patients were diagnosed using also reviewed literature including present cases. Ultrasonography is diagnostic prevent unnecessary surgical intervention associated morbidity.
As there is increased concern over the radiation exposure particularly in adolescents and young adults, computed tomography (CT) dose reduction needed diagnosis of acute appendicitis. To evaluate optimal strength sinogram affirmed iterative reconstruction (SAFIRE) to obtain best image quality on a 30-mAs applied low-dose CT (LDCT 30mAs) compare diagnostic performances LDCT 30mAs with different SAFIRE strengths that 100-mAs 100mAs) for appendicitis.A total 102 consecutive patients (47 men, 55...
Local ablation for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a non-surgical option that directly targets and destroys tumor cells, has advanced significantly since the 1990s. Therapies with different energy sources, such as radiofrequency ablation, microwave cryoablation, employ mechanisms to induce necrosis. The precision, safety, effectiveness of these therapies have increased advances in guiding technologies device improvements. Consequently, local become first-line treatment early-stage HCC. lack...

To define the risk factors and adverse effects associated with repeated canalith repositioning procedures (CRPs).A case series featuring chart review. An academic university hospital. We retrospectively reviewed 1900 patients (average age, 54.9 years; range, 11-88 years) diagnosed benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). All underwent CRPs. We recorded clinical features including gender, BPPV cause (idiopathic or secondary), symptom duration, canal involved, number of sessions CRP,...
Administering intraluminal fluid can improve the acoustic window for visualization of lumen and wall layers in cavitary organs. Microbubbles ultrasound contrast agents also be used intracavitary applications to enhance lesion human patients. However, there was no literature extending clinical application contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) patients with naturally occurring diseases veterinary medicine. This case series aims describe detailed diagnostic value CEUS six cases...
We present the case of a 21-year-old man with an incidentally detected cystic renal mass.A well-defined, solid mass measuring approximately 8 cm x 6 component was identified in left kidney by abdominal multidetector computed tomography (CT) and ultrasonography. The well-enhanced on corticomedullary CT phase washout enhancement occurred nephrographic phase. The contained peripheral wall septal calcifications component. The lesion resected diagnosed as primary carcinoid tumor.Primary tumors are...
Academic integrity guarantees the professional and validity of education qualifications offered by veterinary schools. In this study, we analyzed responses 528 students two schools in Seoul regarding their awareness about, knowledge of, frequency engaging academic misconduct.A total 88.4 percent participants agreed that cheating plagiarism undergraduates would influence future misconduct. The most common form misconduct was (71.7% A school, 69.5% B school), with falsification (40.2% 31.7%...
We present two cases of adrenocortical oncocytomas that were well-delineated on multi-detector computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. The images showed a well-enhanced large mass with multiple stippled calcifications in 10-yr-old girl who was consulted due to precocious puberty. A solid necrotic components incidentally noticed 54-yr-old man. These lesions resected diagnosed as through immunohistochemical studies electron microscopy. Adrenocortical are rare disease entities,...
We report two cases of focal nodular hyperplasia in patients following gadoxetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging confirmed with histopathology. These showed an atypical pattern during the delayed-hepatobiliary phase after injection acid. One case a total defect, and other peripheral ring-like enhancement without visible central scar, mimicking hepatocellular carcinoma. The pathologic examination demonstrated that lesions were hyperplasia.
Sarcomatoid carcinomas are rare biphasic tumors composed of mixed malignant epithelial and mesenchymal cells. A few cases for small intestinal sarcomatoid carcinoma were reported. Moreover, most the focused on pathologic review. We experienced a case monophasic arising in jejunum 78-year-old man. In this case, CT showed fungating mass with central necrosis jejunum. also reviewed literatures that arises intestine.
We report a case of plexiform angiomyxoid myofibroblastic tumor the stomach that developed in 38-year-old woman who underwent gastrofiberscopy and multi-detector computed tomography scans due to dyspepsia for 3 months. There was subepithelial protruding mass with small central mucosal ulceration heterogeneous prominent enhancement gastric upper body along greater curvature. The measured 3.5 × 2.3 cm size showed multinodular growth pattern bland spindle cells myxoid stroma abundant blood...
We report the case of a rare solitary small nodular form malignant hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma in patient followed by computed tomography and gadoxetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging with histological analysis. This showed early peripheral septal enhancement delayed centripetal enhancing pattern capsular retraction, mimicking cholangiocarcinoma, inflammatory pseudotumor, or metastases. The immunohistochemical findings were diagnostic hemangioendothelioma.
Meningioma's account for around 15% of all primary brain tumors with some 10% meningiomas arising in the posterior fossa. In rare cases, a meningioma can form endolymphatic sac. When formed fossa, produce vague, non-specific vertiginous symptoms. Research has observed that subset these lesions could symptoms indistinguishable from those Meniere's disease. Therefore, we described clinical features case petrous recurrent vertigo as well substantial resolution after tumor removal via...

Background As urinary stone diseases are common in young adults and have a high recurrence rate, repetitive computed tomography (CT) scans would increase the radiation hazard. Therefore, CT dose reduction is needed diagnosis of stones. Purpose To prospectively evaluate added value adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASIR) applied to half-dose (HDCT) quarter regular non-enhanced (QDCT) for detection Material Methods One hundred twelve consecutive patients who presented with acute...
Ileoileal intussusceptions caused by inflammatory fibroid polyps are uncommon. Inflammatory (Vanek’s tumor) rare benign lesions that originate in the submucosa of gastrointestinal tract. Here, we report case a 54-year-old woman who was admitted with an acute onset abdominal pain and signs intestinal obstruction. The ileal segment resected, single-layer end-to-end anastomosis performed. A submucosal polypoid mass measuring approximately 4.5 × 4.0 cm found. histopathological analysis revealed...
Colonic diseases can cause pyogenic liver abscess in the case of diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer or after iatrogenic polypectomy. However, there is no report related to intestinal tuberculosis until now. We a 60-year-old woman with abscess, who was infected Klebsiella pneumoniae and had complicating colon, which probably source abscess. This suggests that should be considered as one possible causes for cryptogenic abscess. doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.4021/jmc844w
