The timing of tracheotomy is a complex decision that requires understanding the relative risks and benefits as compared with prolonging intubation. role during COVID-19 pandemic remains to be determined. There no evidence early tracheostomy improves patient’s clinical course it not impact on natural history these patients. In our opinion, should proposed in stable patients after 18th days orotracheal intubation when viral load finished. Only case difficult do we perform earlier tracheotomies.
