Cast, segmented polyetherurethanes with 30 and 50% hard-segment content (HSC), respectively, were studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) atomic force (AFM). Multi-phase segregation was observed in both samples on two levels (micro nano) of structural organization. Spherulites a prominent radial structure, built branched fibrils globules, captured the micrometer level. The use AFM enabled us to investigate nanostructure polyurethanes here. In sample low (30%) HSC, nano-scale phase...
In the presented paper, two basic strategies that can be used in processes of chemical recycling polyester material were described. The first them involves increasing molar mass recycled materials solid-state polycondensation (SSP) process and/or joining their chains with various types substances easily reacting end groups polyesters (so-called extending agents). essence second strategy is degradation under influence protogenic agents (such as water, alcohols, glycols and amines) to obtain...
Abstract Boehmite particles modified with organic ligands were prepared through the reaction of boehmite acrylic acid or diethylphosphoric (formed in situ from triethyl phosphate). The chemical structures these determined, and it was shown that they formed stable aqueous dispersions a particle size lower than 200 nm (average diameter = 40–100 nm, depending on method modification) for more 90% population. These nanoparticle mixed carboxylated styrene–butadiene latex, after water evaporation,...
Ab initio molecular orbital calculations at the MP2/6-31G level of theory have been used to study geometry, electronic structure, and thermal stability six-membered phosphazene heterophosphazene rings. The studies included ring [NPCl(2)](3), carbophosphazene [(NCCl)(NPCl(2))(2)], three thionylphosphazene rings [(NSOX)(NPCl(2))(2)] (X = F, Cl) [(NSOF)(NPF(2))(2)] their cations [(NPCl)(NPCl(2))(2)](+), [(NC)(NPCl(2))(2)](+), [(NSO)(NPY(2))(2)](+) (Y Cl). skeleton ring, all cation adopt a...
The reaction of boehmite with diethyl phosphoric acid generated in situ a boiling water solution triethyl phosphate has been studied detail. Two kinds solid products have isolated and characterized by elemental XPS analysis, addition to XRD, TGA, FT-IR, SEM, MAS NMR techniques. One them precipitates from the mixture form fibers containing needlelike hexagonal crystals unit-cell parameters = 21.105(4) Å c 9.112(2) (V 3515(1) Å3). crystalline structure comprises hexagonally packed catena...
One of the most popular materials used in plastics industry is polyurethane (PUR). In recent years, these have gained attention due to their ease processing, simple, relatively inexpensive manufacturing process, and, above all, properties, which allow PURs be as rigid and flexible foams, solid products, adhesives, biomedical materials. The primary purpose this work was study chemical and/or physical modifications urethane prepolymers, resulting enhanced mechanical properties reduced...
Algal blooms enrich seawater with gel-like exopolymers modifying the local structure and physio-chemical properties of water column. These effects are particularly intense during mucilage events occurring seasonally in some seas coastal regions thin layers. However, detailed situ examination is limited, biologically modified on microscale processes remain poorly understood. In this study, we experimentally investigated impact exopolymer gels rheological mucus-rich saltwater consequences...
A series of poly(ester-carbonate-urethane)s containing different weight ratios respective fragments were synthesized by coupling dihydroxyl compounds with diisocyanates. First, poly(trimethylene carbonate) diol (PTMCD) was prepared via ring opening polymerization trimethylene carbonate (TMC) using 1,4-butanediol as an initiator and stannous 2-ethylhexanoate a catalyst. PTMCD further reacted in the melt polyester polyol (dimer derived from dimerized fatty acid, DD) presence hexamethylene...
This work investigates the potential application of various sterilization methods for microorganism inactivation on thermoplastic starch blend surface. The influence e-beam and UV radiation, ethanol, isopropanol microwave autoclave structural packaging properties were studied. All applied successful in yeast molds, however only radiation was able to remove bacterial microflora. FTIR analysis revealed no significant changes polymer structure, nevertheless, a deterioration mechanical observed....
In the last few years, a very wide range of oligocarbonate diols, oligomers carbonic acid esters terminated on both sides with hydroxyl groups, have appeared chemical market. They are mainly used for production flexible segments in precious grades polyurethanes biomedical engineering. Poly(carbonate-urethane) due to high resistance oxidizing and hydrolytic agents is also an attractive material adhesives coatings increased weather conditions. This paper presents current state knowledge...
Abstract The copolymerization of l -lactide with ethylene carbonate carried out at 120 °C in the presence organic derivatives aluminum, zinc and tin as catalysts leads to formation linear polymers relative molecular masses 10 000–30 000 range containing up 12 mol. % monomeric units (m.u.). A decrease T g copolymers down 48 demonstrates internal plasticization effect for polylactide matrix. In first reaction step mainly lactide homopolymerization proceeds systems studied. Carbonate m.u....
The synthesis and properties of coordination polymers with the formula Al[O2P(OR)2]3[R = Me, Et,nPr,iPr,nBu, CH2CH(Et)(CH2)3CH3or Ph] are reported.
The thermal transitions of inorganic-organic hybrid polymers composed linear aluminum tris(diorganophosphate) chains with a general formula catena-Al[O2P(OR)2]3 (where R = C1-C8 alkyl group or phenyl moiety) have been studied by means DSC, powder XRD, TGA and TG-QMS, as well optical spectroscopy. DSC XRD reveal that most them undergo reversible structural transformations in the solid state between -100 200 °C caused changes conformation their organic substituents; however, translational...
The synthesis, structure and properties of three hybrid polymers based on zinc arylphosphates are described in this study. Zinc bis(diphenylphosphate) (ZnDPhP) was obtained as needle-like crystals containing hexagonally packed, homochiral 1 ∞[Zn(DPhP)2/2] helical chains. XRD DSC studies revealed that upon heating, ZnDPhP undergoes a reversible thermal transition at ca. 160 °C with expansion mainly perpendicular to its c-axis. phenylphosphate hydrate (ZnMPhP-H) formed plate-like particles an...
