The high antibacterial and antiviral performance of synthesized copper(I) oxide (Cu2O) incorporated in zeolite nanoparticles (Cu-Z) was determined. Various Cu contents (1-9 wt %) solutions were loaded the matrix under neutral conditions at room temperature. All Cu-Z showed selectivity cuprous oxide, as confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis. An advantage prepared over pristine Cu2O its thermal stability. 7 9 % (07Cu-Z 09Cu-Z) exhibited best activities...

Burkholderia pseudomallei is a Gram-negative bacterium that causes melioidosis. Inhalational exposure leading to pulmonary melioidosis the most common clinical manifestation with significant mortality. However, role of B. biofilm phenotype during bacterial-host interaction remains unclear. We hypothesize may play in such interactions. In this study, H777 (biofilm wild type), M10 mutant) and C17 (biofilm-complemented) strains were used assess contribution adhesion human lung epithelial cells...

Silk sericin (SS) from the Bombyx mori silk cocoons has received much attention biomedical scientists due to its outstanding properties, such as antioxidant, antibacterial, UV-resistant, and ability release moisturizing factors. Unmodified SS does not self-assemble strongly enough be used a hydrogel wound dressing. Therefore, there is need for suitable stabilization techniques interlink peptide chains or strengthen their structural cohesion. Here, we reported method form...

The aim of this study was to compare the changes in epaxial muscle proteins Asian seabass at two different postmortem durations. muscles were collected 1 h or 24 (PM). Whole, ungutted fish stored an ice box, with refilled every hours. results show significant increases MFI values and contents solubilized sarcoplasmic proteins, a molecular weight 47 kDa PM samples (

The objective of this study was to determine the effects growth-related myopathies, i.e., normal, wooden breast (WB), white striping (WS), and combined lesions WS WB (WS + WB), on molecular response Caco-2 cells. A total 24 cooked chicken breasts (n = 6 per myopathy) subjected an in vitro digestion using enzymatic process mimicking human gastrointestinal digestion. Based peptidomics, protein abnormal samples, particularly meat, resulted more peptides with lower mass relative those normal...
