Abstract Nuclear import receptors (NIRs) not only transport RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) but also modify phase transitions of RBPs by recognizing nuclear localization signals (NLSs). Toxic arginine-rich poly-dipeptides from C9orf72 interact with NIRs and cause nucleocytoplasmic deficit. However, the molecular basis for toxicity toward function as modifiers remains unidentified. Here we show that impede ability to RBPs. Isothermal titration calorimetry size-exclusion chromatography revealed...

Peptide nucleic acid (PNA) can form a stable duplex with DNA, and, accordingly, directly recognize double-stranded DNA through the formation of double-duplex invasion complex, wherein pair complementary PNA strands two PNA/DNA duplexes. Because does not require prior denaturation holds great potential for in cellulo or vivo applications. To broaden applicability invasion, we developed new conjugate ruthenium complex. This Ru-PNA exhibits higher DNA-binding affinity, which results enhanced...

This paper is concerned with the study of convergence and divergence formal power series solutions following first order singular linear partial differential equation holomorphic coefficients at origin: P(x,D)u(x) = \sum^d_{\iota=1}a_\iota(x)D_\iota u(x)+b(x)u(x) f(x), f(x) origin. Here said to be if a_\iota(0)=0 ( \iota 1, ...,d ). In this case, it known that under so-called Poincare condition, \{a_\iota(x)\}^d_{\iota=1 } generates a simple ideal, every solution convergent. However we...

This article is concerned with the study of Borel summability divergent power series solutions for certain singular first-order linear partial differential equations nilpotent type. Our main purpose to obtain conditions which coefficients should satisfy in order ensure solutions. We will see that there a close affinity between and global analytic continuation properties equations.

Oligonucleotides represent powerful DNA-recognition tools, but the formation of undesirable "self-duplexes" becomes more probable with increasing DNA affinity. Herein, we have developed a modified nucleobase "self-avoiding" properties. Facile methylation guanine yields cationic N7-methylguanine, which suppresses self-duplexes whilst improving affinity through electrostatic interaction.

In this paper we study the condition under which formal solution of (1.1) is Borel summable. The case c = 0 has been already studied in Part I. Before stating our main result, let us recall some results obtained §1.1.Results I subsection, assume 0. This paper is concerned with the existence of Gevrey asymptotic solutions for divergent formal solution singular first order linear partial differential equations nilpotent type. By using version Borel-Ritt's theorem, we can prove in a small sector unconditionally. However, when require Borel summability (that is, an open disk), global analytic continuation properties coefficients are demanded.

This paper is concerned with the existence, uniqueness, convergence and divergence of formal power series solutions singular first order quasi-linear partial differential equations. Firstly we give condition under which solution exists uniquely. However, this does not necessarily converge. So characterize rate via Gevrey series. The orders are determined by Newton polyhedrons nonlinear operators.

The sequence-specific recognition of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) is a key property for the control function. Peptide nucleic acid (PNA) can be utilised direct dsDNA via formation unique invasion complex. Strand by PNA induces local changes in structure and useful regulation gene expression genome editing. However, fact that nucleobases modification required efficient invasion, has stymied wide-spread application PNA. Herein, we succeeded target sequences complex utilising only...

The cover feature picture shows direct DNA recognition of a peptide nucleic acid (PNA) conjugate–Ru complex (Ru-PNA) by double duplex invasion. As Ru-PNA is anchored to the additional interaction Ru with DNA, forms more stable DNA. This higher binding affinity enhances invasion efficiency even at physiological salt concentrations.
