China has a huge area of diverse landscapes and is believed to conceive incredibly high fungal diversity. To systematically promptly report Chinese species, we initiate the series Catalogue fungi in here. In first paper this series, focus on plant-inhabiting fungi. A total 33 new taxa are described all over China. These include two genera, viz. Cremeoefibula Nothopucciniastrum, 18 Annulohypoxylon lancangensis, Ascotaiwania coffeae, Clitocella neofallax, Coleopuccinia yunnanensis,...

Cordycepin, an important active substance in Cordyceps militaris, possesses antiviral and other beneficial activities. In addition, it has been reported to effectively promote the comprehensive treatment of COVID-19 thus become a research hotspot. The addition naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) is known significantly improve yield cordycepin; however, its related molecular mechanism remains unclear. We conducted preliminary study on C. militaris with different concentrations NAA. found that NAA...

An updated description of the genus Atheniella , combining macro- and micromorphological characters that elaborate on original generic characterisation, is presented. characterised by a brightly coloured pileus, all tissues inamyloid pileipellis covered with simple to branched excrescences. Previously, nine species were known globally, which three accepted in China. Three newly-recognised classified are here formally described from Yunnan Province: flavida sp. nov. During a study of Mycena s.l. in eastern China, distinct species, yuezhuoi, was collected on the Jiaodong Peninsula. yuezhuoi has following characteristics: purple pileus, emarginate and white lamellae, elongated pip-shaped to cylindrical basidiospores, cheilocystidia that are smooth or occasionally have an apical protrusion. The discovery M. provides new material for sect. Calodontes, especially pura complex. Although closely resembles regarding macroscopic characteristics, it forms...

The rapid degeneration of Cordyceps militaris strains during subculture represents a bottleneck problem that affects production stability. This study explored the mechanism underlying this in three and wild-type , isolating single-conidium from each. effects subculturing on fructification both original single mating-type were compared. Only a few Crepidotus species have been previously reported from subalpine areas of China. Members possessing an orange-yellow pileus are rare in China as well. Here, we describe yuanchui, new characterized by pileus, ovoid basidiospores, and abundant cylindric to narrowly utriform cheilocystidia. This is widely distributed above 2000 m asl Yunnan Province.
