Abstract Long‐period magnetotelluric (MT) data from project SINOPROBE were acquired and modeled, using three‐dimensional (3D) MT inversion, to study the electrical structure of Ordos Block, a component North China Craton. For first time, high‐resolution 3D resistivity model lithosphere is defined for region. Contrary what would be expected stable cratonic block, prominent lithospheric conductive complex revealed extending upper mantle mid‐to‐lower crust beneath northern part Ordos....
The Saishitang Cu deposit, located on the eastern area of Eastern Kunlun Orogenic Belt (EKOB), and northern margin Tibetan Plateau, is one most important copper deposits in Qinghai Province, China. Skarn orebodies mainly occur as stratoids or lenses along contact zone between quartz diorite Lower to Middle Triassic metamorphosed tuff marble. In this study, we use new zircon U–Pb ages, molybdenite Re–Os granitoid geochemical compositions, Hf isotope data constrain ore genesis tectonic setting...
Abstract: The metallogenetic porphyry bodies in the Nongping Au‐Cu deposit, eastern Yanbian area, mainly include porphyritic granodiorite and biotite porphyry. They are featured with high silicon enrichment sodium, classified into sodic rocks of low‐K tholeiitic basalt series. Except slightly low Sr content, rock basically has geochemical characteristics adakite: relatively A1 2 O 3 MgO depletion Y Yb; relative large ion lithophile elements (LILEs) light rare‐earth (LREEs), content field...
The East Kunlun Orogen (EKO), as the west segment of Central China Orogen, is most important Triassic polymetallic metallogenic belt in China. In this paper, we summarize geological characteristics (stratigraphy, structure, ore‐related plutons, wall rock alteration, and orebodies), ore‐forming fluids materials, geochronology, petro‐geochemistry representative porphyry–skarn Cu–polymetallic deposits, including Saishitang, Hutouya, Kaerqueka deposits EKO. Cu EKO are mainly distributed tectonic...
The Western Kunlun orogenic belt (WKOB) located south of the Tarim Basin and north-western margin Tibetan Plateau, was previously considered a complex that closed along Kudi-Qimanyute suture zone (KQSZ) Mazar–Kangxiwar (MKSZ) from north to during Proto- Paleo-Tethys. MKSZ between South Tianshuihai terranes interpreted as southern boundary WKOB formed subduction Paleo-Tethys oceanic crust. However, evolution in Proto-Tethys Ocean remains controversial. We newly recognized seamount formation...
The Yangjingou gold deposit in Jilin Province lies 11 km south of the large-scale Xiaoxinancha gold–copper deposit. orebodies are structurally controlled fault- or fracture-related auriferous quartz veins. This type mineralization is significantly different from that porphyry deposit, and has mineral assemblages fluid inclusion compositions typical orogenic deposits. We suggest first discovered Yanbian area, even all NE China. Here, we present new isotopic dating trace element analysis...
Abstract A granite‐related scheelite deposit has been recently discovered in the Wuyi metallogenic belt of southeast China. The veinlet–disseminated occurs mainly inner and outer contact zones porphyritic biotite granite, spatially associated with potassic feldspathization silicification. Re–Os dating molybdenite intergrowths yield a well‐constrained isochron age 170.4 ± 1.2 Ma, coeval LA–MC–ICP–MS concordant zircon granite (167.6 2.2 Ma), indicating that Lunwei W was formed Middle Jurassic...
The Chigbrak Formation in the Upper Ediacaran is one of important exploration targets Tarim Basin, NW China. However, no significant discoveries have been made this field, and unclear reservoir genesis factors restricting breakthrough. This study examined outcrops Aksu area northwestern Basin by using systematic descriptions petrologic features Formation. Samples were selected for tests stable carbon oxygen isotopic compositions, strontium rare earth elements, LA–ICP–MS element mapping U–Pb...
Several magmatic Cu–Ni sulfide deposits have recently been explored along the deep Middle Kunlun fault related to extension of East orogenic belt in Qinghai Province, NW China. The Xiwanggou mafic–ultramafic rocks associated with mineralization are first be dated as late Permian compared most formed during Silurian–early Devonian this region. complexes located junction area between and West Qinling belts, composed gabbros, olivine-gabbros, pyroxenites, olivine-pyroxenites, peridotites....
Abstract Over the last two decades, continuing integration of distance-to-boundary logging while drilling (LWD) workflows with directional processes, has dramatically improved geosteering deviated and horizontal wells. However, interpretation underlying propagation azimuthal electromagnetic measurements remained challenging in complex thin multi-layered geologies. Recent technology advancements LWD resistivity coupled significant software enhancements provide an opportunity for improving...
Central Jilin is tectonically subordinate to the Lesser Xing'an Range–Zhangguangcai Range polymetallic metallogenic belt, an important region for Cu–Mo prospecting in NE China. Dozens of large‐scale molybdenum deposits, including Fu'anbu, Chang'anbu, Jide, and Dashihe, have been recently discovered Jilin, whereas porphyry Cu or deposits not found date. One such example intracontinental deposit Chang'anbu Shulan, Province, hosted early Yanshanian rocks. Here this contribution, we described...
