We use data collected with the CLEO II detector to perform a high-statistics measurement of resonant substructure in ${D}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ decays. find that Dalitz plot is well represented by combination seven quasi-two-body decay channels...
We have studied the "wrong-sign" process D0-->K+pi(-) to search for D0-&Dmacr;( 0) mixing. The data come from 9.0 fb(-1) of e(+)e(-) collisions at sqrt[s] approximately 10 GeV recorded with CLEO II. V detector. measure relative rate wrong-sign Cabibbo-favored &Dmacr;( 0)-->K+pi(-) be R = (0.332(+0.063)(-0.065)+/-0.040)%. study as a function decay time distinguish direct doubly Cabibbo-suppressed amplitudes that describe mixing, x(') and y('), are consistent zero. We report a new measurement of the CKM parameter V_ub made with sample 9.7 million B B-bar events collected CLEO II detector. Using Heavy Quark theory, we combine observed yield leptons from semileptonic decay in end-point momentum interval 2.2-2.6 GeV/c recent data on --> X_s gamma to find |V_ub| = (4.08 +/- 0.34 0.44 0.16 0.24) x 10^-3, where first two uncertainties are experimental and last theory.
We describe several measurements using the decays D0→K+K− and π+π−. find ratio of partial widths, Γ(D0→K+K−)/Γ(D0→π+π−), to be 2.96±0.16±0.15, where first error is statistical second systematic. observe no evidence for direct CP violation, obtaining ACP(KK)=(0.0±2.2±0.8)% ACP(ππ)=(1.9±3.2±0.8)%. In limit violation we measure mixing parameter yCP=−0.012±0.025±0.014 by measuring lifetime difference between or π+π− neutral state, D0→K−π+. see mixing.Received 6 November...
We have studied the color-suppressed hadronic decays of neutral B mesons into final states ${D}^{(*)0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$. Using $9.67\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected with CLEO detector, we observe ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ and ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ branching fractions...
We search and find no evidence for CP violation in tau decays into the K(pi)nu(tau) final state. provide limits on imaginary part of coupling constant Lambda describing a relative contribution violating processes with respect to standard model be -0.172<Im(Lambda)<0.067 at 90% C.L.
In the standard model, charged current of weak interaction is governed by a unitary quark mixing matrix that also leads to CP violation. Measurement Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) elements essential searches for new physics, either through structure CKM matrix, or departure from unitarity. We determine element |Vcb| using sample 3×106 BB¯ events in CLEO detector at Cornell Electron Storage Ring. yield reconstructed B0→D*+lν¯ and B−→D*0lν¯ decays as function w, boost D* B rest frame, this we...

The signal is inconsistent with upward fluctuation background by 4.9 standard deviations. measured normalized to...
We determine the weak coupling /V(cb)/ between b and c quarks using a sample of 3 x 10(6) BB; events in CLEO detector at Cornell Electron Storage Ring. yield reconstructed B-->D*l nu; decays as function w, boost D* B rest frame, from this we obtain differential decay rate d Gamma/dw. By extrapolating Gamma/dw to w=1, kinematic end point which is relative B, extract product /V(cb)/F(1), where F(1) form factor w=1. Combined with theoretical results for...
The ratio of charged and neutral B meson production at the Upsilon(4S), f_{+-}/f_{00}, is measured through decays bar -> D* l- nu_l bar, reconstructed using a partial reconstruction method where detected only pion daughter from decay D pi. Using data collected by CLEO II detector, are in such way that their independent model, limited mainly uncertainty relative efficiency for detecting pions. This measurement yields fractions times semileptonic branching fractions, f_{+-}b_{+}/f_{00}b_0....

We find M(Σ++c)−M(Λ+c)=167.4±0.1±0.2MeV, Γ(Σ++c)=2.3±0.2±0.3MeV, M(Σ0c)−M(Λ+c)=167.2±0.1±0.2MeV,Γ(Σ0c)=2.5±0.2±0.3MeV, where uncertainties are statistical systematic, respectively.Received 29 October 2001DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.65.071101©2002 American Physical Society
We report on the observation of B-> D(*) pi+ pi- pi^o decays. The branching ratios for D*+ and D*o are (1.72+/-0.14+/-0.24)% (1.80+/-0.24+/-0.27)%, respectively. We search for CP non-conservation in the decays of tau leptons produced via $e^+ e^-$ annihilation at $\sqrt{s}\sim$ 10.6 GeV. The method uses correlated pairs leptons, each decaying to $\pi \pi^0 \nu_{\tau}$ final state. is done within framework a model with scalar boson exchange. In an analysis data sample corresponding 12.2 million collected CLEO detector, we find no evidence violation symmetry. obtain limit on imaginary part coupling constant parameterizing relative contribution diagrams...

The B-->D(*)K(*-) ratios are averages those corresponding to 00 11 helicity states. errors shown statistical systematic, respectively.
Continuing our studies of radiative Upsilon(1S) decays, we report on a search for Upsilon to gamma eta and f_{J}(2220) in 61.3 pb^{-1} e^{+}e^{-} data taken with the CLEO II detector at Cornell Electron Storage Ring. For three decays meson pi^{+}pi^{-}pi^{0}, pi^{0}pi^{0}pi^{0}, were investigated. We found no candidate events two (3\pi)^{0} modes significant excess over expected backgrounds mode set limit branching fraction B(Upsilon eta) < 2.1 x 10^{-5} 90% C.L. The charged two-body final...

This can occur either through doubly Cabibbo-suppressed process or mixing to ${D}^{0}$ followed by Cabibbo-favored process. Our result time-integrated wrong-sign rate...
Using the CLEO II detector at Cornell Electron Storage Ring we have measured Ξ0c decay asymmetry parameter in Ξ0c→Ξ−π+. We find αΞ0cαΞ=0.26±0.18(stat)+0.05−0.04(syst); using world average value of αΞ=−0.456±0.014 obtain αΞ0c=−0.56±0.39(stat)+0.10−0.09(syst). The physically allowed range a is −1<α<+1.
