We present measurements of the ratio proton elastic electromagnetic form factors, μpGEp/GMp. The Jefferson Lab Hall A Focal Plane Polarimeter was used to determine longitudinal and transverse components recoil polarization in ep scattering; these is proportional two factors. These data reproduce observation Jones et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 84, 1398 (2000)], that factor decreases significantly from unity above Q2=1GeV2.Received 29 May 2001DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevC.64.038202©2001...
We have studied the muon neutrino and antineutrino quasi-elastic (QEL) scattering reactions (ν μ n→μ − p $\bar{\nu }_{\mu}p\to\mu^{+}n$ ) using a set of experimental data collected by NOMAD Collaboration. performed measurements cross-section these processes on nuclear target (mainly carbon) normalizing it to total ν ( $\bar{\nu}_{\mu}$ charged-current cross section. The results for flux-averaged QEL sections in (anti)neutrino energy interval 3–100 GeV are $\langle...
We present the results of a search for νμ→νe oscillations in NOMAD experiment at CERN. The looked appearance νe predominantly νμ wide-band neutrino beam CERN SPS. No evidence was found. 90% confidence limits obtained are Δm2<0.4 eV2 maximal mixing and sin2(2θ)<1.4×10−3 large Δm2. This result excludes LSND allowed region oscillation parameters with Δm2≳10 eV2.
The NOMAD experiment is a short base-line search for νμ − ντ oscillations in the CERN neutrino beam. ντ's are searched through their charged current interactions followed by observation of resulting τ− its electronic, muonic or hadronic decays. These decays recognized using kinematical criteria necessitating use light target which enables reconstruction individual particles produced interactions. This paper describes various components detector: and muon drift chambers, electromagnetic...
We present the first measurement of D*+ width using 9/fb e+ e- data collected near Upsilon(4S) resonance by CLEO II.V detector. Our method uses advanced tracking techniques and a reconstruction that takes advantage small vertical size CESR beam spot to measure energy release distribution from -> D0 pi+ decay. find Gamma(D*+) = 96 +- 4 (Statistical) 22 (Systematic) keV. also in decay compute Delta m m(D*+) - m(D0) 145.412 0.002 0.012 MeV/c^2
We present the first measurement of D*(+) width using 9/fb e(+)e(-) data collected near Upsilon(4S) resonance by CLEO II.V detector. Our method uses advanced tracking techniques and a reconstruction that takes advantage small vertical size Cornell Electron-positron Storage Ring beam spot to measure energy release distribution from D*(+)-->D(0)pi(+) decay. find gamma(D*(+)) = 96+/-4 (stat)+/-22 (syst) keV. also in decay compute Delta m identical with m(D*(+))-m(D(0)) 145.412+/-0.002...
We present a measurement of the muon neutrino-nucleon inclusive charged current cross-section, off an isoscalar target, in neutrino energy range $2.5 \leq E_ν\leq 40$ GeV. The significance this is its precision, $\pm 4$% 10$ GeV, and 2.6$% $10 GeV regions, where significant uncertainties previous experiments still exist, importance to proposed long baseline oscillation experiments.
We present final measurements of 13 charmless hadronic B decay modes from the CLEO experiment. The include ten ππ, Kπ, and KK states new limits on dibaryonic states, p¯p, p¯Λ, Λ¯Λ, as well a determination ratio B(→BDK)/B(→BDπ). results are based full II III data samples totalling 15.3fb−1 at Υ(4S), supercede previously published results.Received February 2003Corrected 6 June 2007DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.68.052002©2003 American Physical Society

We have measured the first and second moments of hadronic mass-squared distribution in B-->X(c)l nu, for P(lepton)>1.5 GeV/c. find <M(2)(X)-M macro(2)(D)> = 0.251+/-0.066 GeV(2), <(M(2)(X)-<M(2)(X)>)(2)> 0.576+/-0.170 GeV(4), where M macro(D) is spin-averaged D meson mass. From that moment photon energy spectrum b-->s gamma, we heavy quark effective theory parameter lambda(1) (in modified minimal subtraction renormalization scheme, to order 1/M(3)(B) beta(0)alpha(2)(s)) be -0.24+/-0.11...
We report a new measurement of the CKM parameter V_ub made with sample 9.7 million B B-bar events collected CLEO II detector. Using Heavy Quark theory, we combine observed yield leptons from semileptonic decay in end-point momentum interval 2.2-2.6 GeV/c recent data on --> X_s gamma to find |V_ub| = (4.08 +/- 0.34 0.44 0.16 0.24) x 10^-3, where first two uncertainties are experimental and last theory.
We report on determinations of |Vub| resulting from studies the branching fraction and q^2 distributions in exclusive semileptonic B decays that proceed via b->u transition. Our data set consists 9.7x10^6 BBbar meson pairs collected at Y(4S) resonance with CLEO II detector. measure B(B0 -> pi- l+ nu) = (1.33 +- 0.18 0.11 0.01 0.07)x10^{-4} rho- (2.17 0.34 +0.47/-0.54 0.41 0.01)x10^{-4}, where errors are statistical, experimental systematic, systematic due to residual form-factor...

We present a set of recommendations for the presentation LHC results on searches new physics, which are aimed at providing more efficient flow scientific information between experimental collaborations and rest high energy physics community, facilitating interpretation in wide class models. Implementing these would aid full exploitation potential LHC.
We present measurements of the recoil proton polarization for d(γ→,p→)n reaction at θc.m.=90° photon energies up to 2.4 GeV. These are first data in this transfer with circularly polarized photons. The induced py vanishes above 1 GeV, contrary meson-baryon model expectations, which resonances lead large polarizations. However, Cx does not vanish inconsistent hadron helicity conservation. Thus, we show that scaling behavior observed d(γ,p)n cross sections is a result perturbative QCD. should...
