We report measurements of the photon beam asymmetry $\Sigma$ for reactions $\vec{\gamma}p\to p\pi^0$ and p\eta $ from GlueX experiment using a 9 GeV linearly-polarized, tagged incident on liquid hydrogen target in Jefferson Lab's Hall D. The asymmetries, measured as function proton momentum transfer, possess greater precision than previous $\pi^0$ are first $\eta$ this energy regime. results compared with theoretical predictions based $t$-channel, quasi-particle exchange constrain...
The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab ran with its first commissioning beam in late 2014 and the spring of 2015. Data were collected on both plastic liquid hydrogen targets, much detector has been commissioned. All systems are now performing or near design specifications events being fully reconstructed, including exclusive production π0, η ω mesons. Linearly-polarized photons successfully produced through coherent bremsstrahlung polarization transfer to ρ observed.
We present final measurements of 13 charmless hadronic B decay modes from the CLEO experiment. The include ten ππ, Kπ, and KK states new limits on dibaryonic states, p¯p, p¯Λ, Λ¯Λ, as well a determination ratio B(→BDK)/B(→BDπ). results are based full II III data samples totalling 15.3fb−1 at Υ(4S), supercede previously published results.Received February 2003Corrected 6 June 2007DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.68.052002©2003 American Physical Society
Thermoplastic immobilizers are used routinely in radiation therapy to achieve positioning accuracy. These devices variable quality as they dependent on the skill of human fabricator. We examine potential multi jet fusion (MJF) 3D printing for production with a focus surface dosimetry several MJF-printed PA12-based material candidates. Materials compared goal minimizing dose comparison standard thermoplastic. introduce novel metamaterial design shell immobilizer, aims mechanical robustness...
A partial wave analysis of the π0π0 system produced in charge exchange reaction π−p→π0π0n at an incident momentum 18.3 GeV/c is presented as a function invariant mass mπ0π0 and transfer squared |t| from π− to outgoing system. For small values |t|, S-wave intensity shows broad enhancement low with sharp dip vicinity f0(980). also observed f0(1500). There rapid variation S D0 relative phase difference these regions. large f0(980) appears bump. The f2(1270), D waves, dominantly by π a2 higher...
The primary motivation of the GlueX experiment is to search for and ultimately study pattern gluonic excitations in meson spectrum produced $γp$ collisions. Recent lattice QCD calculations predict a rich hybrid mesons that have both exotic non-exotic $J^{PC}$, corresponding $q\bar{q}$ states ($q=u,$ $d,$ or $s$) coupled with field. A thorough spectrum, including identification isovector triplet, charges 0 $\pm1$, isoscalar members, $|s\bar{s}\ >$ $|u\bar{u}\ > + |d\bar{d}\ >$, each...
The GlueX experiment was designed to search for and study the pattern of gluonic excitations in meson spectrum produced through photoproduction reactions at a new tagged photon beam facility Hall D Jefferson Laboratory. particle identification capabilities will be enhanced by constructing DIRC (Detection Internally Reflected Cherenkov light) detector, utilizing components decommissioned BaBar DIRC. allow systematic studies kaon final states that are essential inferring quark flavor content...
The GLUEX experiment, to be constructed in the new Hall D at Jefferson Lab as part of 12 GeV upgrade, will utilize a linearly polarized 9 photon beam, produced via coherent bremsstrahlung radiation off diamond wafer, incident on proton target conduct search for exotic hybrid mesons. A summary physics motivation experiment and key factors that drive design detector beam line is presented.
We propose to enhance the kaon identification capabilities of GlueX detector by constructing an FDIRC (Focusing Detection Internally Reflected Cherenkov) utilizing decommissioned BaBar DIRC components. The would significantly physics program allowing one search for and study hybrid mesons decaying into final states. Such systematic studies states are essential inferring quark flavor content conventional mesons. reuse one-third synthetic fused silica bars that were utilized in DIRC. A new...

BACKGROUND: Depression is a major health issue among Māori indigenous adolescents, yet there has been little investigation into the relevance or effectiveness of psychological treatments for them. Further, consumer views are critical engagement and adherence to therapy. However, research regarding communities' opinions about interventions depression. OBJECTIVE: The objective this study was conduct semistructured interviews with (indigenous New Zealand) young people (taitamariki) their...
