We report the observation of magnetoresistance (MR) that could originate from orbital angular momentum (OAM) transport in a permalloy (Py)/oxidized Cu (Cu^{*}) heterostructure: Rashba-Edelstein magnetoresistance. The dependence MR depends on relative angle between induced OAM and magnetization similar fashion as spin Hall Despite absence elements with large spin-orbit coupling, we find sizable ratio, which is contrast to conventional requires heavy elements. Through Py thickness-dependence...

This study experimentally analyzes the nonlinear flow characteristics and channelization of fluid through rough-walled fractures during shear process using a shear-flow-visualization apparatus. A series visualization tests is performed on four transparent fracture specimens with various displacements 1 mm, 3 5 7 mm 10 under normal stress 0.5 MPa. Four granite different roughnesses are selected quantified variogram fractal dimensions. The obtained results show that critical Reynolds number...

Here, we report the realization of epitaxial Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) thin films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA). The are grown on substituted gadolinium gallium garnet substrate (SGGG) by pulsed laser deposition. It was found that a buffer layer Sm3Ga5O12 (SmGG) top SGGG can suppress strain relaxation, which helps induce large enough PMA to overcome shape in YIG films. reciprocal space mappings analysis reveals in-plane relaxation is suppressed, while out-of-plane exhibits strong...

2,5-Diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole (OXD) derivatives with terminal ethynyl- (4a,b) and butadiynyl- (8a,b) substituents have been synthesized in high yields. 2-Methyl-3,5-hexadiyn-2-ol has not exploited previously the synthesis of butadiynes. Crystals 8a 8b are remarkably stable to long-term storage under ambient conditions. The X-ray crystal structure reveals that butadiyne moieties spatially isolated by aromatic moieties, which explains stability. Two series derived pi-conjugated molecules,...
