Kinetics of a lipase isolated from Bacillus sp. was studied. The enzyme showed maximum activity at pH 9 and temperature 60ºC. Michaelis constant (K M 0.31 µM) obtained three different plots i.e., Lineweaver-Burk, Hanes-Wolf Hofstee, found to be lower than already reported lipases that confirmed higher affinity the for its substrate p-NPL (p-nitrophenyl laurate). Vmax 7.6 µM/mL/min. Energy activation calculated Arrhenius plot 20.607 kJmol-1. Activation enthalpy (ΔH*) had negative trend value...

Up till now, despite of well-developed ornamental market, very little information is available on Petunia hybrida L. tolerance against heavy metals (HMs), which can contribute in both beautification urban dwellings, as well potential phytoremediation. Therefore, hydroponic study was conducted to check the effects Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni and Pb individually (50 100 μM) with co-application EDTA (2.5 mM) Hoagland's nutrient solution. Results indicated higher uptake above ground parts, Cu roots, further...

Malathion, a well-known organophosphate pesticide, has been used in agriculture over the last two decades for controlling pests of economically important crops. In present study, single bacterium, ML-1, was isolated by soil-enrichment technique and identified as Bacillus licheniformis on basis 16S rRNA technique. The bacterium grown carbon-free minimal salt medium (MSM) found to be very efficient utilizing malathion sole source carbon. Biodegradation experiments were performed MSM without...

Introduction: Typhoid fever remains a significant public health concern, particularly in pediatric populations developing countries. Accurate diagnosis and timely intervention are crucial for the effective management of disease, which is often influenced by various socioeconomic environmental factors. This study aimed to investigate epidemiological patterns risk factors associated with typhoid population. Methods: cross-sectional was conducted at Department Pediatric Infectious Diseases...
