Abstract The prevailing ‘division of labor’ concept in cellular immunity is that CD8 + T cells primarily utilize cytotoxic functions to kill target cells, while CD4 exert helper/inducer functions. Multiple subsets memory have been characterized by distinct chemokine receptor expression. Here, we demonstrate analogous T-cell exist, identical expression signatures and controlled similar generic programs. Among them, Tc2, Tc17 Tc22 contrast Tc1 1 express IL-6R but not SLAMF7, completely lack...

We present two patients with immune checkpoint inhibitor induced bullous pemphigoid. The modification of immunotherapy dosing allowed for the continuation anti-cancer therapy and along proper treatment aided in management skin toxicity. Those findings highlight possibility that this adverse reaction may be dose dependent adjustment used regimen key successful management.

“Mutational signatures” are patterns of mutations that report DNA damage and subsequent repair processes have occurred. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) can provide additional information to standard diagnostic techniques identify therapeutic targets. WGS performed on his primary cancer revealing a hypermutated tumor, including clonal ultraviolet...

Abstract A great part of our knowledge on mammalian immunology has been established in laboratory settings. The use inbred mouse strains enabled controlled studies immune cell and molecule functions defined These were usually performed specific‐pathogen free (SPF) environments providing standardized conditions. In contrast, mammalians including humans living their natural habitat are continuously facing pathogen encounters throughout life. influences environmental conditions the signatures...

Pluripotent stem cells are promising candidates for cell-based regenerative therapies. To avoid rejection of transplanted cells, several approaches being pursued to reduce immunogenicity the or modulate recipient's immune response. These include gene editing antigenicity cell products, immunosuppression host, using major histocompatibility complex-matched from banks. In this context, we have investigated H-Y antigens, a class minor antigens encoded by Y chromosome, assess whether gender...

Abstract Background Immune ageing is a result of repetitive microbial challenges along with cell intrinsic or systemic changes occurring during ageing. Mice under ‘specific-pathogen-free’ (SPF) conditions are frequently used to assess immune in long-term experiments. However, physiological pathogenic reduced SPF mice. The question arises what extent murine experiments performed suited analyze mice and serve as models for human Our previous comparisons same aged different exposures,...

Metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma confers a poor prognosis. Even with recent advances in the treatment of this disease introduction two modestly effective chemotherapy regimens, complete responses are still very rare. Moreover, there no published data on how to further manage patients who achieve sustained remission following treatment. Herein, we report case patient metastatic achieved response lasting for more than three years after receiving induction FOLFIRINOX followed by maintenance FOLFIRI.
