Biofilm-based microalgal growth was determined as functions of organic chemical loading and water temperature utilizing dairy wastewater from a full-scale farm. The industry is significant source worldwide that could provide an inexpensive nutrient rich feedstock for the cultivation algae biomass use in downstream processing animal feed aquaculture applications. Algal cultivated using Rotating Biofilm Reactor (RABR) system. RABR biofilm-based technology has been designed used to remediate...

We present the case of a 10-year-old previously healthy male who suffered an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest because abdominal trauma and survived with excellent neurologic outcomes near complete return to baseline functional status at hospital discharge. The rapid response efficient mobilization resources led patient outcome despite severity injuries, including intra-abdominal injuries expected mortality, traumatic arrest, coagulopathy, extended pediatric intensive care unit stay. This...

Large cohort studies and more recently electronic medical records (EMR) are being used to collect massive amounts of genetic information. Implementation artificial intelligence has become increasingly necessary interpret this data with the goal augmenting patient care. While it is impossible predict what future holds, policy makers challenged create guiding principles responsibly roll out these new technologies. On March 22, 2019, University Utah hosted its fourth annual Precision Medicine...
