Abstract 13 C NMR shielding data for about 300 compounds are tabulated, and critical spectral features discussed as a guide to the use of technique in structure elucidation stereochemical allocations lignan, neolignan their derivatives. Unanalysed reported have been analysed and, wherever necessary, signal assignments revised on basis more recent evidence obtain consistency throughout series.

Geraniol dehydrogenase, the specific enzyme involved in geraniol to citral trans (geranial) transformation, activity was monitored various lemongrass cultivars differing amounts and relative percentages of their essential oils. The had a positive significant association with geraniol, geranial ratios. results are suggestive strong relationship between oil quality cultivars.
