The synthesis of tailored nanoparticles—non-porous and porous—is a major challenge in advanced materials science. authors here report the submicrometer-size silica particles with solid core thin porous shell (see Figure). thermal stability high specific surface area make these beads suitable as adsorbents for various applications chromatography.
Prehistoric Japan underwent rapid transformations in the past 3000 years, first from foraging to wet rice farming and then state formation. A long-standing hypothesis posits that mainland Japanese populations derive dual ancestry indigenous Jomon hunter-gatherer-fishers succeeding Yayoi farmers. However, genomic impact of agricultural migration subsequent sociocultural changes remains unclear. We report 12 ancient genomes pre- postfarming periods. Our analysis finds maintained a small...
A plausible reaction mechanism for propylene (C3H6) production from ethylene (C2H4) was investigated, based on the amounts of effluent hydrocarbons and produced in pores SAPO-34. Propylene via an oligomerization-cracking mechanism. On basis this mechanism, conversions C2H4, pentenes, hexenes were examined. The catalytic performance compared, order to investigate role pore volume zeolites with 8-, 10-, 12-membered rings selective C3H6. selectivity C3H6 crucially dependent upon zeolite. Highly...
To evaluate the prognostic significance of pretreatment neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio in patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma who underwent salvage chemotherapy. We reviewed 200 received chemotherapy at our five affiliate institutions between 2003 and 2011. The associations clinicopathological factors, including ratio, cancer-specific survival overall from start were assessed. Cox proportional hazards model was used for multivariate analysis.A total 15 cases missing data excluded....
A weak topological insulator (WTI) bears, generally, an even number of Dirac cones on its surface; they are susceptible doubling, while the surface a certain orientation it shows no cone. On this "dark" WTI, we predict existence single pair isolated 1D perfectly conducting channels that forms either closed loop or segment line. The former is associated typically with atomic-layer-thick island formed dark surface, latter shown to be consequence crystal (screw) dislocations terminating surface.
Abstract Objectives Although the treatment strategy for advanced urothelial carcinoma (aUC) has drastically changed since pembrolizumab was introduced in 2017, studies revealing current survival rates aUC are lacking. This study aimed to assess (1) improvement among real‐world patients with after introduction of and (2) direct survival‐prolonging effect pembrolizumab. Methods multicenter retrospective included 531 undergoing salvage chemotherapy, including 200 treated pre‐pembrolizumab era...
MOR type zeolites with Si/Al ratios of 5.19−9.00 have been synthesized in the presence fluoride ion (denoted by MS-F). Although MS-F has same framework topology as conventionally mordenite (MS-C), characteristics MS-F, such crystal morphology, adsorptivity for benzene and thermal stability, are quite different from MS-C. Solid-state 29Si MAS NMR measurements revealed that number Si atoms a Si(2Al) environment is less than MS-C ratio. Based upon results those sorption ordered distribution Al...
