We have compared the electrocatalytic activity of several substituted and unsubstituted Co Fe N4-macrocyclic complexes (MN4) for electro-reduction oxygen with directly adsorbed on edge plane pyrolytic graphite or carbon nanotubes (CNTs). In presence CNTs, one order magnitude higher surface concentrations MN4 catalysts per geometric area unit could be leading to a lower overpotential activities in same as commercially available Pt/C basic pH. From Koutecky-Levich regression analysis, total...

The interaction of arsenic(III) onto the tetrahedral Au20 cluster was studied computationally to get insights into arsenic traces (presented in polluted waters) embedded electrodes with gold nanostructures. Pollutant interactions vertex, edge, or inner atoms were observed have a covalent character by forming metal-arsenic metal-oxygen bonding, adsorption energies ranging from 0.5 0.8 eV, even stable physisorption; however, aqueous media, Au-vertex-pollutant found be disadvantageous....

The application and validation of a glassy carbon electrode modified with Nafion, 1-nitroso-2-naphthol bismuth film (GC/NF-NN/BiFE) was studied using adsorptive stripping voltammetry (AdSV) for the determination Pb2+ Cd2+ in tap water. parameters optimized were pH, 1- nitroso-2-naphthol concentration (CNN), Nafion (CNF), adsorption potential (Eacc) time (tacc). Optimal conditions pH 4.5 (acetate buffer solution 0.10 mol L-1); Eacc: -1.30 V; tacc: 120 s; CNN : 0.10% w/v, CNF: 0.50 wt %....

The use of a glassy carbon electrode modified with polymeric meso–tetrakistetrabromothienyl porphyrin (TBrTP) to determine Pb(II) and Cd(II) is reported. TBrTP was prepared by electrochemical polymerization in acetonitrile. Using SWASV, variables like number cycles on the electropolymerization, pH, time accumulation potential (tacc, Eacc) were optimized. Optimal analytical conditions were: pH 5.0 (acetate buffer); Eacc –1.00 V vs. Ag/AgCl tacc 60 s. linear calibration curves ranged from 10.0...

Metallo phthalocyanines confined on electrode surfaces such as graphite and carbon materials have been used extensively active molecular catalysts for a variety of reactions 1 . When anchored nanotubes the activity these increases by almost 2 orders magnitude in part due to an increase effective area. Recently, Cao et al. shown that anchoring FePc nanutubes using axial ligand produces very materiales reduction O alkaline media, mimicking this fashion function cytochrome c catalytic living...

This research aims to study the incorporation and effective containment of gold nanostructures on a substrate electrode applied electrochemical sensors for detection dopamine. nanoparticles (AuNPs) was synthesized using protocol developed by Turkevich [1]. Additionally nanorods (AuNBs) were obtained method described growth Nikoobakht [2]. These have been incorporated into metal mediated self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) 4-mercaptopyridine (4MPy), which allows confinement communication...
