Because of the selectivity commonly used media it is very difficult to cultivate bacteria inhabiting ultrapure waters under laboratory conditions. In this study 5 new (synthetic and complex) were developed reveal bacterial community water originated from purification system a Hungarian power plant which was studied already with using traditional media. Composition tends reproduce nutrient deficient conditions investigated water, therefore highly oligotrophic. Altogether 122 strains isolated...
Thermal baths are unique aquatic environments combining a wide variety of natural and anthropogenic ecological factors, which also appear in their microbiological state. There is limited information on the microbiology thermal complexity, tracking community shifts from wells to pools. In present study, microbial well pool waters Gellért bath was studied detail by cultivation-based techniques. To isolate bacteria, 10% R2A minimal synthetic media (with "bath water") with agar-agar gellan gum...
Many industries use ultrapure water (UPW) for their operation. In spite of purification efforts, microbial contaminations are the major cause manufacturing problems in these systems. our experiments, system a power plant was investigated: microbiologically critical points were located by checking number and diversity bacteria to determine optimum operational unit chemical intervention: most contaminated site mixed-bed ion-exchange resin containing unit. Biocides tested against previously...
