Geometric (Z)- and (E)-isomers play important but different roles in life material science. The design of new (Z)-/(E)- isomers study their properties, behaviors, interactions are crucially molecular engineering. However, difficulties with separation structure confirmation limit structural diversity functionality scope. In the work described herein, we successfully synthesized pure ureidopyrimidinone-functionalized tetraphenylethenes ((Z)-TPE-UPy (E)-TPE-UPy), featuring both...

Artificial light-harvesting nanoparticles were prepared from supramolecular polymers comprised of pillar[5]arene with anthracene-derived donors and acceptors through host-guest interactions. The resulting water-dispersible displayed efficient energy transfer excellent light harvesting ability in part because the steric bulk suppressed self-quenching chromophores.

The advance of the synthesis ammonia through nitrogen electroreduction under ambient conditions is seriously impeded by lack an efficient electrocatalyst that can facilitate multiple proton-coupled electron-transfer processes and suppress competitive hydrogen evolution reaction required for a high reduction (NRR) selectivity. Herein, we demonstrate first time boron-doped nanostructured diamond be used as NRR, which affords NH3 yield rate 19.1 μg h–1 cm–2, Faradaic efficiency 21.2%, stable...

Abstract Quantitatively establishing the correlation between nanoparticle size and fluorescence is essential for understanding behavior functionality of fluorescent nanoparticles (FNPs). However, such exploration focusing on organic FNPs has not been achieved to date. Herein, we employ use supramolecular polymeric prepared from tetraphenylethylene‐based bis‐ureidopyrimidinone monomers (bis‐UPys) relate nanoparticles. At an equal concentration bis‐UPys, a logarithmic relationship them built...

ABSTRACT Control of the dissymmetry circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) is intriguing and has great potential for applications in field optics. The traditional control strategy involves using opposite enantiomers to achieve reversal CPL signs. However, regulating by controlling only transition dipole moments without changing molecular or supramolecular chirality remains a challenge. Herein, we developed couple crystal materials based on axially chiral aggregation‐induced emission...

Abstract Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) materials with delayed fluorescence have attracted much attention due to their ability efficiently trap triplet state excitons, thereby improving the photoluminescence quantum yields of CPL materials. However, effort has been normally focused on utilization T 1 excitons but seldom higher excited n ( > 1) excitons. Rational manipulation and suppression Kasha's rule remains a major challenge. Herein, two gold complex enantiomers (( R / S...
