Multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria are a major threat to public health. Bacteriophage endolysins (lysins) promising alternative treatment traditional antibiotics. However, the lysins currently under development still underestimated. Herein, we cloned lysin from SAP-26 bacteriophage genome. The recombinant LysSAP26 protein inhibited growth of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus...

This research developed a geographical presentation method to show which areas of the city need be improved in terms directness transit service using two measures, Degree Competitiveness and Circuity, were first author's previous research. In this research, networks five cities Korea was analyzed compared as an example demonstrated geographically. The results that although more populated are likely provide direct than less cities, population density affects network more. Also, showed there...

Nosocomial infections caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria are severe life-threatening factors. Endolysins (lysins) degrade the bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan and may help control pathogens, especially MDR prevalent in hospital settings. This study was conducted to verify potential of lysin as disinfectant kill contaminating medical devices that cause infections. Eight catheters removed from hospitalized patients were collected tested for their ability using two lysins, LysSS...

Abstract Background Development of novel antimicrobial agents is imperative due to the increasing threat antibiotic-resistant pathogens. This study aimed validate enhanced antibacterial activity and in vivo efficacy a truncated endolysin, CHAP SAP26 -161, derived from domain LysSAP26, against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Methods Two deletion mutants, -139 were constructed by deleting C-terminal portion LysSAP26. These cloned expressed, their activities, together with protein purification...

In this study, value of VMS (Variable Message Sign) traffic information is estimated by using CVM (Contingent Valuation Method), which developed to quantify the non-marketable goods in environmental economics. used estimate provided a project under consideration and then feasibility can be indirectly examined on basis value. This study focuses estimating through VMS, part transportation system enhancement Korea Expressway Corporation aimed at mitigating problems expressways. particular,...

Clostridioides difficile is a spore-forming enteric pathogen that causes life-threatening diarrhea and colitis. Notably, C. infection (CDI) major healthcare-associated with increasing incidence morbidity rates. Antibiotic-induced microbial disruption has been linked to susceptibility CDI transmission relapse. Therefore, alternative therapeutic approaches effectively prevent growth spore germination are urgently needed. Bacteriophage-derived endolysins their derivatives have recently shown...
