본 연구는 사회복지사의 임파워먼트가 조직응집력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 임파워먼트를 개인, 관계, 환경 측면으로 구분하여 설계하고, 직위에 따른 검증하기 위하여 실무직급과 관리직급으로 구분하였다. 연구대상자를 전국의 사회복지기관에서 일하는 사회복지사를 대상으로 2023년 1월부터 27일까지 온라인 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 최종 224명의 분석에 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 임파워먼트와 조직응집력 모두 관리직급이 실무직급보다 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 살펴본 실무직급은 개인 관계 임파워먼트 수준이 높을 수록 조직응집력이 높게 나타났으며, 관리직급은 높을수록 높아짐을 확인하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 기반으로 따라 사회복지사종사자의 조직응집력을 향상시킬 수 있는 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.
