An illustrated key is provided to 27 species of Aeolothrips Haliday recorded from Iran, including two new species: A. persiae sp. n. Chenopodium album [Chenopodiaceae] and tatari Sinapis arvensis [Brassicaceae]. Mycterothrips doostii sp. n. and zagrosi are described illustrated from Fars province, southern Iran, on the basis of specimens collected green leaves Juglans regia Amygdalus scoparia respectively. M. is closely related to aureus weii, whereas resembles sanubari glycines in color structure.

Aeolothrips neyrizi n. sp. is described and illustrated from Fars province, southern Iran, on the basis of two females collected Alhagi persarum (Fabaceae). The fore wing colour characteristic species. new species closely related to A. afghanus, a that has been Afghanistan also reported Iran.

The genus Cephalothrips Uzel is a weakly defined in subfamily Phlaeothripinae with its members apparently living on various dead tissues and the leaves of live plants. Two species, C. bicolor sp. n. corona n., are described from Iran that remarkable for their bicoloured pattern. An illustrated key provided four species recorded Iran. Iranodendrothrips kamalii gen. et sp. n. is described from northeast of Iran and the morphological relationships among closely related genera, Dendrothrips Filicopsothrips, are discussed. Three new species of Mycterothripsare described from Khorasane Shomali province in Northeast Iran, M. mahvelatensis sp.n., nastarani sp.n. and sanubari sp.n.. An identification key is provided for both sexes the nine Mycterothrips known Iran. Host associations among these Iranian species, as well variation number pronotal posteromarginal setae, are discussed briefly.

Two new species of the genus Aeolothrips are described from northeast Iran. A. bhattii sp.n. flowering Caroxylon dendroides is remarkable for its strikingly bicolored body with brown head and last three abdominal segments. laurencei flowers Elaeagnus angustifolia characterized by large dark body, all yellow tarsi fore wings two transverse bands connected posteriorly.

Aptinothrips iraniensis sp. n. is described from northeast of Iran as the fifth species in this genus. It closely similar to A. rufus shape and habitat. An illustrated key provided four recorded Iran.

Anaphothrips sineconus sp. n. is described as unique within the genus for absence from antennal segment III of a sense cone and reduction in some other character states. Hyalopterothrips brunneus similar to H. crocatus hieroglyphicus having forked cones on segments III–IV. Both new species are collected plant family Amaranthaceae East Iran.
