An IAEA coordinated research project that began in 2012 and ended 2016 was primarily dedicated to the compilation, evaluation recommendation of cross-section data for production medical radionuclides. One significant part this work focused on diagnostic positron emitters. These particular studies consist 69 reactions direct indirect or generator 44Sc(44Ti), 52mMn(52Fe), 52gMn, 55Co, 61Cu, 62Cu(62Zn), 66Ga, 68Ga(68Ge), 72As(72Se), 73Se, 76Br, 82Rb(82Sr), 82mRb, 86Y, 89Zr, 90Nb, 94mTc,...

An extensive series of evaluations have been performed as part an IAEA coordinated research project to study a set nuclear reactions that produce the diagnostic gamma-ray emitting radionuclides 51Cr, 99mTc, 111In, 123I and 201Tl. Recommended cross-section data in form excitation functions derived, along with quantifications their uncertainties. These involved compilation all previously published values newly measured experimental data, followed by critical assessments selection those...

Indoor and outdoor (atmospheric) radon activity concentrations need to be measured as accurate possible for radiation protection climate applications. Particularly below 100 Bq m −3, useful the retrieval of prone areas atmospheric studies, still a robust metrological chain ensure their quality. Ones most common used commercial continuous monitors were compared here under slightly different environmental conditions. The data set divided into two groups (< −3 ≥ −3) assess responses associated...

This paper presents a comparative analysis, in which we evaluate the parameters of SLA and FDM printing technologies, for production radioactive standard sources SARPAGAN geometry, frequently encountered radionuclide metrology. Aspects such as material compatibility, dimensional accuracy, radiation stability influence 3D technology on reliability final product will be addressed. Furthermore, results obtained by gamma-ray spectrometry sample 99mTc, using comparison with two printed geometries...

An interlaboratory comparison for European radon calibration facilities was conducted to evaluate the establishment of a harmonized quality level activity concentration in air and demonstrate performance when calibrating measurement instruments radon. Fifteen from 13 different countries participated. They represented levels metrological hierarchy: national metrology institutes designated institutes, authorities radiation protection participants universities. The by German Federal Office...

Two series of activity standards (60)Co in cast steel matrix, developed for the calibration gamma-ray spectrometry systems metallurgical sector, were characterised using a European interlaboratory comparison among twelve National Metrology Institutes and one international organisation. The first standard, consisting 14 disc shaped samples, was from contaminated during production ("originally"), second, 15 similar discs, artificially-contaminated ("spiked") steel. reference concentrations...
