Herein we report an adaptive, achiral trithiourea molecular cage and its conformational stereodynamics toward tricarboxylate anion binding. The was readily synthesized in four steps with a 44% yield for the irreversible cage-forming reaction. It possesses flexible conformation strongly binds 1,3,5-benzene by forming sandwich-like inclusion complex, affinity up to 106 M–1 acetonitrile. Upon binding, is locked twisted helical conformation. By incorporation of three chiral arms on guest,...

An artificial system of substrate-induced dimerization assembly chiral macrocycle catalysts enables a highly cooperative hydrogen-bonding activation network for efficient enantioselective transformation. These macrocycles contain two thiourea and diamine moieties dimerize with sulfate to form sandwich-like assembly. The then adopt an extended conformation reciprocally complement the interaction sites. Inspired by guest-induced dynamic assembly, these catalyze decarboxylative Mannich reaction...

The tight binding enabled by tailor-made macrocycles can be manipulated for tuning the catalysis process. In parallel to well-developed crown ether-based cation-binding catalysis, a macrocycle-enabled counteranion trapping strategy is presented boosting highly efficient and enantioselective catalysis. A set of bis-diarylthiourea containing two BINOL moieties were designed synthesized. They possess well-confined chiral cavity strong affinities towards disulfonate anions. Caused binding, just...

A new type of cage inherent chirality was accessed by hierarchical desymmetrization a D3h-symmetric prismlike motif. The dissymmetric C3v precursor C1 bearing two different phloroglucinol caps first synthesized. subsequent progressive substitutions on the three triazine arms nucleophiles furnished desired C1-symmetric inherently chiral cages C3 and C4 with rich structural diversity. Resolution racemic achieved chromatography, enantiopure were readily obtained gram scale. Convenient...

According to the microglial hypothesis of schizophrenia, hyperactivation microglia and release proinflammatory cytokines lead neuronal loss, which is highly related onset schizophrenia. Recent studies have demonstrated that fractalkine (CX3CL1) its receptor CX3CR1 modulate function microglia. Thus, present study aimed determine whether plays a role in schizophrenia-related behaviors. A classical animal model social isolation (from postnatal days 21 56), was used induce behaviors C57BL/6J...

A method for abatement chlorophenols (CPs) in contaminated water based on successive steps of catalytic hydrodechlorination (HDC) over Pd/C at ambient temperature and pressure, followed by aerobic biodegradation using yeast Candida tropicalis (C. tropicalis) was studied. The results showed that 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) could be easily completely dechlorinated under mild conditions, ultimately yielding phenol as product. Subsequently, (0-900 mg L(-1)) degraded C....

Isolation rearing produces significant behavioral and neurochemical dysfunctions in rodents, which resemble the symptoms of schizophrenia. Clozapine, one atypical antipsychotics, is widely used treatment schizophrenia patients experimental studies. In this study, male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to either group-reared or isolation-reared conditions during postnatal days (PNDs) 21–34. During PNDs 46–55, subjected chronic clozapine (1.0 mg/kg for 10 days) saline treatment. On...

Prepulse inhibition (PPI) refers to the of startle reflex that occurs when startling stimulus is preceded by a weak prestimulus. Altered adolescent mPFC circuitry induced early-life adversity might be key source PPI deficits. The current study focused on variations in cyclic AMP (cAMP)/protein kinase A (PKA)-cAMP-response element-binding protein (CREB) pathway medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC). We found negative relationship between and PKA-CREB cascade during adolescence employing both...
