The red-light-responsive supramolecular interaction between tetra-ortho-methoxy-substituted azobenzene and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) is demonstrated.
Diradicaloids are promising materials for organic electronics and nonlinear optics due to their unique optical, electronic magnetic properties. High performance field-effect transistor photodetector based on diradicaloids have been achieved. Future potential applications in batteries, memory, logic gates non-linear expected.
Biomedical magnesium (Mg) alloys have garnered significant attention because of their unique biodegradability, favorable biocompatibility, and suitable mechanical properties. The incorporation rare earth (RE) elements, with distinct physical chemical properties, has greatly contributed to enhancing the performance, degradation behavior, biological performance biomedical Mg alloys. Currently, a series RE-Mg are being designed investigated for orthopedic implants cardiovascular stents,...
Red-light-responsive supramolecular valves constructed by tetra-ortho-methoxy-substituted azobenzene (mAzo) and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) were used to control drug release from mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs). Doxorubicin (DOX) was as a model loaded into nanopores of mAzo modified MSNs. β-CD formed with host-guest interaction closed the nanopores. Red light able open induce DOX even in deep tissue.
Photoswitchable polymers are promising candidates for information storage. However, two general problems photoswitchable used in rewritable optical storage photobleaching and inefficient switching processes solid state. To overcome both of these obstacles, we demonstrate the synthesis a new visible-light-switchable azobenzene-containing polymer (azopolymer) with nonstackable azo chromophores reversible stable The azopolymer (PmAzo) contains ortho-methoxy-substituted azobenzene (mAzo) groups...
Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate), P(3HB-co-4HB), is one of the most valuable biopolymers because its flexible mechanical properties. In this study, goal to establish a scaled-up process low cost P(3HB-co-4HB) from 7.5-L fermentor 1- and 5-m3 industrial bioreactors, respectively, using Halomonas bluephagenesis TD40 grown on glucose, γ-butyrolactone, waste corn steep liquor (CSL) as substrates, under open non-sterile fed-batch or continuous conditions. The enables energy reduction...
Abstract UV‐light‐responsive azobenzene (Azo)/cyclodextrin (CD) host‐guest complexes are attractive for designing smart stimuli‐responsive materials, and have been extensively investigated over the past three decades. However, when applied in biomedical fields, as a result of harmfulness poor penetrability UV light to human tissue, Azo/CD responsive longer wavelengths is required. In this Minireview, we reviewed traditional systems developments red‐shift switching visible or even...
Reversible assembly of Janus particles was manipulated by host-guest interaction β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and azobenzene. One side every particle modified with β-CD. Superstructures were formed adding azobenzene-containing polymers to the dispersion particles. The superstructures reversibly disassembled α-CD or light irradiation.
Abstract Droplet manipulation is of importance in a wide range applications biomedicine, chemical analysis, and synthesis, among other fields. Over the past decade, extensive efforts are made to develop different strategies transporting droplets by using various external stimuli. However, these methods could fail manipulate some complex liquids with low surface tension, high viscosity, or corrosivity. Herein, magnetic digital microfluidics platform (MDMP) that capable manipulating almost all...
Introduction Aroma compounds are important flavor components in pear fruit. Among cultivated pears, fruits from Pyrus communis (hereafter referred to as P. ) cultivars famous for their abundant aroma, while the of most pyrifolia lack aroma compounds. A comparative study on formation differential between two species could provide a theoretical foundation improving quality cultivars. However, there is systematic research this subject. Methods An analysis volatile and non-volatile metabolites...
Abstract We synthesized a novel green‐light‐responsive tetra‐ ortho ‐isopropoxy‐substituted azobenzene (ipAzo). Cis ‐ipAzo forms strong host–guest complex with γ‐cyclo dextrin (γ‐CD) whereas trans binds weakly. This new photoresponsive interaction is reverse to the well‐known (Azo)/α‐cyclodextrin (α‐CD) complex, which only between ‐Azo and α‐CD. By combining UV‐light‐responsive Azo/α‐CD ipAzo/γ‐CD complexes, orthogonal supramolecular system developed.
Abstract The red emission with suitable peak wavelength and narrow band is acutely required for high color rendering index (CRI) white LEDs without at the cost of luminous efficacy. Herein, Li 2 Ca Mg Si N 6 :Eu 2+ phosphor was prepared facile solid‐state method using 3 , 4 N, Eu O as safety raw materials under atmospheric pressure first time, which shows peaking 638 nm full width half maximum (FWHM) 62 blue light irradiation becomes desired to realize balance between efficacy CRI in LEDs....
Silica-based ceramic cores play key roles in the casting of aeroengine blades, but they are highly limited by poor high-temperature mechanical property. Here, fused mullite (FM) and sintered (SM) powders were modified silica-based cores, microstructure evolution crystallization kinetics depending on types studied. The with FM showed a dense superior properties compared to those SM. 10 wt.% activation energy 1119.5 kJ/mol exponent 1.74, values 938.4 1.86 as SM employed; decreased elevated...
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) create extended two-dimensional (2D) skeletons and aligned one-dimensional (1D) channels, constituting a class of novel π architectures with predesignable structural ordering. A distinct feature is that stacks building units in shape the pore walls, onto which diversity different can be assembled to form various interfaces, opening great potential trigger strong correlation between skeleton pore. However, such possibility has not yet been explored. Herein,...
Four independent states are orthogonally photo-controlled and switched by ultraviolet, blue, green red light irradiations on micropatterned surfaces.
The present study focuses on the preparation and characterization of three phase epoxy syntactic foam (ESF) filled with carbon fiber reinforced hollow macrospheres (CFR‐HEMS) glass microspheres (HGMS). ESF was produced by embedding CFR‐HEMS into a mixture epoxy‐hardener 30 wt% HGMS. An innovative approach simple procedure implemented in where expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads were used as initiation template. EPS coated resin using “rolling ball method,” these later cured post‐cured at high...
