Allergic contact dermatitis affects about 5% of men and 11% women in industrialized countries is one the leading causes for occupational diseases. In an animal model cutaneous hypersensitivity, we show that mice lacking both known cannabinoid receptors display exacerbated allergic inflammation. contrast, fatty acid amide hydrolase–deficient mice, which have increased levels endocannabinoid anandamide, displayed reduced responses skin. Cannabinoid receptor antagonists inflammation, whereas...

We investigated the influence of cannabidiol (CBD) on blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) in spontaneously (SHR) deoxycorticosterone (DOCA-salt) hypertensive rats. Hypertension was connected with increases cardiac plasma markers lipid peroxidation both models, whereas endocannabinoid levels decreased SHR increased DOCA-salt. CBD (10 mg/kg once a day for 2 weeks) did not modify BP HR hypertension but counteracted pro-oxidant effects. Moreover, it or anandamide, 2-arachidonoylglycerol...
