ABSTRACT The fused heterocycle 1‐(imidazo[5,1‐ a ]isoquinolin‐3‐yl)naphthalen‐2‐ol ( LH ) has been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods. Probe upon irradiation with λ ex = 336 nm exhibited strong fluorescence em 437 in MeOH/HEPES buffer (5 mM, pH 7.4, 2:8, v / ). Upon adding several metal ions, the intensity was quenched only Cu 2+ Pd ions. This turn‐off response ions observed even coexistence of other anions. From Job's plot mass spectra analysis, 2:1 ratio :M obtained,...

Abstract Benzannulation is one of the most important methods to construct simplest aromatic ring, i.e., benzene ring. Various efforts synthesize derivatives were already made, but they generally require some transition metal species in stoichiometric or catalytic amounts carry out this transformation which contaminates with metal‐based impurity. On other hand, reactant, alkyne used for these transformations also quite expensive nature. Keeping facts mind, a series 2,4,6‐trisubstituted...

Some pincer type mono- and poly-nuclear Pd(II) Pt(II) complexes bearing imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine imidazolylpyridine moiety were synthesized characterized by using several spectroscopic methods. Determination of molecular structures all...

N-(2-Pyridylmethyl)pyridine-2-methylketimine (L1) was synthesized from equimolar quantities of (2-pyridyl)methylamine and 2-acetylpyridine. Methanolic solution L1 reacted readily with Cu(NO3)2·3H2O in air, affording green solid composition {[Cu(L2)(OH)(NO3)][Cu(L2)(NO3)2]}·2H2O, where L2 is 4'-(2-pyridyl)-2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine. Oxidation the active methylene group to an imide then condensation 2-acetylpyridine involving a C−C bond-forming reaction, mediated by Cu2+ ion, are essential...
