Three porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome viruses (PRRSVs) were successfully isolated from stillborn piglets fattening pigs derived different herds affected either with an epizootic failure or a severe chronic distress in Japan. The isolates reacted antisera against both European (Lelystad virus) American (strain 46448) PRRSVs indirect immunofluorescence (IIF). However, cross immunoperoxidase monolayer assay revealed the close serological relationships between Japanese PRRSV, but...
Two types of stool antigen tests have been used in the management Helicobacter pylori infection. Testmate Pylori Antigen enzyme immunoassay (TPAg EIA) is a direct sandwich (EIA) while Rapid (Rapid TPAg) performed using immunochromatography. The aim this study was to characterization and usefulness these tests.Accuracy both studied 111 fecal samples obtained from H. pylori-positive or -negative patients. Cross-reactivity examined with four other spp. five bacteria humans. To estimate...

To clarify the molecular basis underlying neural function of honeybee mushroom bodies (MBs), we identified three genes preferentially expressed in MB using cDNA microarrays containing 480 differential display‐positive candidate cDNAs locally or differentially, dependent on caste/aggressive behavior brain. One encodes a putative type I inositol 1,4,5‐trisphosphate (IP 3 ) 5‐phosphatase and was one two types intrinsic neurons, large‐type Kenyon cells, suggesting that IP ‐mediated Ca 2+...
The extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) is a serine/threonine that known to regulate cellular events such as cell proliferation and differentiation. ERK signaling pathway activated by fibroblast growth factors, considered be indispensable for the differentiation of primitive endoderm cells, not only in mouse preimplantation embryos, but also embryonic stem (ESC) culture. To monitor activity living undifferentiated differentiating ESCs, we established EKAREV-NLS-EB5 ESC lines stably...
Summary The Cre‐loxP system has been widely used for specific DNA recombination which induces gene inactivation or expression. Recently, photoactivatable‐Cre (PA‐Cre) proteins have developed as a tool spatiotemporal control of the enzymatic activity Cre recombinase. Here, we generated transgenic mice bearing PA‐Cre and systematically investigated conditions photoactivation in embryonic stem cells (ESCs) derived from simple mathematical model. Cre‐mediated was induced 16% ESCs by 6 hr...
ABSTRACTWe previously described cardiomyocyte abnormality caused by Km_5666 strain, a variant of fowl glioma-inducing virus (FGV) prototype, which is an avian leukosis (ALV). However, the cardiac involvement appeared to be eradicated from flock after few years. An epidemiological survey 2017 2020 was performed elucidate current prevalence cardiopathogenic strains in this flock. Four 71 bantams pathologically examined showed both glioma and abnormality, three ALV were detected. DNA sequencing...
The fowl glioma-inducing virus prototype (FGVp) and its variants, which belong to avian leukosis subgroup A (ALV-A), induce cardiomyocyte abnormalities gliomas in chickens. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying these myocardial changes remain unclear, ALV-induced tumorigenesis, is caused by proviral insertional mutagenesis, does not explain early development of cardiac infected We established a quantitative PCR (qPCR) assay measure ALV-A loads brains hearts FGV-infected Japanese...
