The quantitative effects of dislocations on the electrical and optical properties long-wavelength infrared (LWIR) HgCdTe photovoltaic detectors was determined by deliberately introducing into localized regions two high-performance arrays having cutoff wavelengths 9.5 10.3 μm at T=78 K. Results show that can have a dramatic effect detector R0A product, particularly temperatures below 78 For large dislocation densities, decreases as square density; onset dependence occurs progressively lower...

Traveling wave type parametric amplifiers have been proposed which utilize transmission lines having reactance varied by a propagating wave. An analysis indicates that in systems with little or no dispersion, pumping will not result exponential gain of an applied signal but conversion energy to multiplicity cross-product frequencies. Two physical models such wide-band are discussed and the special case zero-dispersion line is analyzed. The results indicate although total increases...

It is important to be able nondestructively characterize (‘‘screen’’) the electrical properties of those areas HgCdTe epitaxial material that will later made into devices. This paper compares several noncontact techniques for measuring resistivity, carrier concentration, and mobility with standard Hall-effect technique. The examined are far-infrared reflection, Raman scattering, eddy–current absorption, electroreflectance. Of these techniques, reflection was found best technique mobility....

The weakness of the force gravity compared to electromagnetic and other fundamental forces has been referred as hierarchy problem. If propagates in several additional spatial dimensions that are large Planck scale, hypothesis is stronger close-up, e.g., below a certain interaction distance magnified. In a disk drive magnetic read/write is achieved with head flying closely over disk. As area 1 recording density increased to several Gbits/In2, the dynamic height of reduced one (mu) -inch or less. Bumps taller than often results in crash. Since DLC coating on surface less 10 nanometers thickness, pits depth cause damage layer. To prevent crash missing bit errors, needs be examined for bumps and deeper thickness. this paper, we report experimental using an MR sensor precision...

Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) combines the principles of sterotaxy, or 3_D target localization, with multiple cross-fired beams from a high-energy radiation source to precisely irradiate an abnormal (oftentimes cancerous) lesion within patient's body. This technique allows maximally aggressive dosing target, while normal surrounding tissue receives lower, non-injurious doses radiation. The ideal objective is destruction targeted area without damaging any tissue. differs conventional...
